Chapter 8: A brand new day

Lea's P.O.V.

It was a brand new day in the human world. I'm excited to see what's gonna happen today.I guess I really am liking this life somehow. Right now I'm watching this thing called the tv, it's very interesting how you can see other peole by this device and see it in such vivid color. It's amazing. And how they 'act'. Just wow. I'm actually feeling a bit impatient because Liam is in an interview today and he'll be back in some minutes but I want to know what he'll show me next. I can't wait to know more about this amazing different world. Specially all it's nature. Which reminds me of the sea.

I sigh remembering all about my life under the sea. Should I even go back? I should but... I don't want to go just yet. There is lots more to discover and see in this whole complete different world.

I go to the kitchen and look in the cabinets for something to eat. I end up eating some random chips I found and some water. I'm not really that hungry. I keep watching tv for a while till I find myself bored and looking outside the window.

After about 2 hours, Liam finally arrives. I hear the door open and I sprint to the door. I jump on Liam straddling him into a massive hug. "LIIIAAAAAM!!!!" I scream and he chuckles, hugging me back. "What's up with you?" I pull away and grin. "I thought you'd never come back! I was starting to think that maybe you left me here alone, trapped, and looking for help because I'm a maniac." I said dramatically and gasping fakely. He chuckled. "I wasn't gonna leave you and you know that." He raised both of his eyebrows. "I know, I know. But I was soooo bored!!!!" I huff and throw myself on the sofa. "Well I'm back! What do you wanna do?" He asks sitting next to me on the sofa. "What do I wanna do...? What do I wanna do?! Liam! You're supposed to take me somewhere! Somewhere I don't know because you have to show me around."

He nods. "True, True."

"Well...?" I ask hopefully.

"How about we go to a forest?"

"A forest?" I raise an eyebrow. "What's that?" I ask confused.

"Maybe it's not the best option to show you around..." He shakes his head. "But it may sound interesting for you!" He smiles.

"And what exactly is a forest that it might be interesting?"

"Well it's this place that's surrounded by lots of trees and nature. It's very calm since almost no one goes there often. There's also amimals who live there." He explains and I instantly smile. This place does sound interesting. I wanna go right now!

"It does sound interesting!! Yes, let's go!" I grin.

After some minutes me and Liam had changed clothes and we were in his car on our way to the forest. I'm excited to see this place. It sounds very interesting and I got a good vibe telling me that I might like it. But I sure hope the rest of the day keeps being sunny, or else I'm so sorry for Liam. Because he'll have to help me if it rains 'cause... y'know. I don't even wanna mention it.

About 30 mins later we arrive at the forest. And by the looks of it, it does have lots of trees and plants. This is so exciting. Liam parked his car near the entrance and we made our way walking into the forest. This is amazing. So many trees, plants, flowers, and you can even hear a lot of birds. Their sound makes me feel relax. It has a very good rythm, just like if they knew the music of a good song. Too bad I can't see birds in my world. They would die.

We walked for a while. Not talking, which there wasn't much to talk about anyway. Just admiring this beautiful nature that the human world has. This is amazing. It's so beautiful. I'm amazed by nature's beauty. It's not the same from under water.

How could my dad hate a place like this? If he saw this he wouldn't be so grumpy and judgy about the human world. C'mon!! He has got to see this one day. For atleast an hour. Then he'll let me come here when I want and I won't have to be stuck in my room grounded.

We stopped when we reached the middle of the forest. "Why did we stop?" I ask Liam.

"Hmm... I think we're near the lake."

"Lake? There's a lake in here?!" I ask excited.

"Yeah, there is." I grin.

"Well what are we waiting for?"

Liam leads the way until we reach the lake. To my amazement, it was a pretty big lake. This forest is wonderful. I would go in the lake but... not really wanna see my fins for a while. Plus I just want to stare at it's beauty. I have never seen a lake before and this is just wonderful. I have heard about them though. In school and everything but I never got to see one in real life. It's very different, but I still like it. It's still wonderful to me.

It was getting late so me and Liam made our way back out of the forest and to his car.

"Where are we going next?" I ask curiously and Liam drives.

"I'm just gonna go to the supermarket and buy some stuff to make dinner."

"Does that mean I get to help you?"

"Sure! Why not?" He chuckles.

"Yaaaay!!!!"

It was about 7 and we finished making dinner. We were sitting in the table eating some white rice with lasagna and a salad. It was kinda simple but since I've never made one it was fun. Sure I wouldn't let Liam do all the work. Plus I had to learn.

"Thanks for today Li!" I said as I finished my food some minutes later.

"No problem. Hope you liked it." He smiles.

"It was amazing!! The forest is really cool."

"That's my world."

"And I'm loving it so far." I smiled and he returned it.

After that I just simply took a shower and put on some pj's. I was tired so I left Liam watching tv in the living room and drifted off to sleep in the guest room.
