Chapter 9: One Week Later

Chapter 9

Liam's P.O.V.

It's been about a week since my life turned upside down. A week since I found an amazing and rare creature laying in the sand. A mermaid called Lea. It's been a week since she's been staying with me and I've been taking her about almost everywhere. I like to see her happy. She always has that kind and sweet smile on her face.

Today me and the guys have a little interview but this time I'm bringing Lea with me so she won't stay alone. I just hope no one suspects anything when seeing her with us cause they'll all get the wrong picture. But anyways... the 1D van just got here so were leaving to the interview right now. Hope everything goes well.

-At the interview-

As soon as we arrived the entrance was full with fans. I don't mind, really, I love our fans! But it's just that today I din't want to let them see Lea, nor any other day. So I told Paul to drop her off at the back of the building and go in with her. We entered the building and we were taken to our seats for the interview. As almost always, they had gathered some fans to sit down and watch the interview.

I saw Paul bring Lea over to the area where the fans were sitting. Hmm... good idea! She can just fit in as a fan so no one can know. I'll sure thank him later for all of that. We waited some minutes until the interviewer came over and sat down across from us. It was a girl, I'd say in her 20's, she had blonde hair and brown eyes. She introduced herself before the camera crew started counting down the numbers to start recording. I took one last glance at Lea, who with her bright smile gave me a thumbs up from where she was sitting. I smiled in return.

"Hello everyone! My name is Mary Dawson and today I am here to interview the latest most popular boy band around the world, One Direction!" The interviewer said and the fans started screaming with excitement.

"So, how are you all doing today? I mean, it's crazy how far you've guys come all this years. Everyone's going crazy." She says with a little laugh.

We all nod and Louis replies.

"Well it is crazy just to think there are hundreds and millions of people all around the world looking at us right now. But we still feel happy about it because we just love our fans and the support they give us each and every day is wonderful. They are the best."

We all smile in agreement. They really are the best fans we could ever have.

About 5 minutes passed by, us answering almost the same questions we have to answer at every interview. But that's okay. We do it for our fans.

I kept glancing once a while at Lea.

Just seeing how her face would lighten up and how she smiled and laughed at every joke the guys made. She seemed happy and that made me happy. She looks beautiful smiling. Wait, what? Where did that come from? Well... I mean, Lea is a pretty girl. I can't deny it. No one can. And just seeing her with a smile on her face makes her so much prettier. Just beautiful.

I shook out of my trance when I noticed she was looking back at me with her eyes wide in schock, infact, everyone was looking at me! But only Lea looked schocked... Did I zone out that long?

"Umm... sorry, what was the question again?" I asked a bit embarrassed. Nothing like that has ever happened to me on an interview...

"It's okay Liam. I bet you're tired. But anyways, the question was:

Do you believe in any mythical creatures? Like the ones in fairytales?

Fairies, trolls, unicorns, or even mermaids?" At the sound of mermaids, I froze. I took a quick look at Lea, who still looked schocked and frightened. I gulped.

"Me? Haha. No, of course not. I-I don't believe in such things. They are made up anyways. That's impossible." I say nervously and end it with a little awkward smile. The lads laugh at my reaction at the mention of mythical creatures. When they're laughing died down, Zayn added. "Well looks like Liam dosen't seem to like fairytales."

I chuckle,still feeling awkward.

This guys seriously don't who they've really been hanging out with.

The interview ends and we say our goodbyes at the fans and the camera and leave. Well that was interesting.

We exit the building and get in the van. I sit next to Lea. She smiles and I return the gesture.

"That was fun." She commented. I raise an eyebrow. "You think?" She chuckles and nods. Well it's her first time seeing us in an interview and all but, I din't feel a tad bit excited.

"Even though I got scared at the end." She whispers, so the guys can't hear, with a serious tone. There it is! "You got scared?! I became so nervous."

I state truthfully, still whispering. "So did I! I thought they might have seen you at the beach or something and followed you and then saw you carrying me." Wow. You know, I din't think of that. Still I am glad no one was at the beach when I carried her to my car. "I got scared because honestly, of ALL the interviews I remember having, I don't think I've ever heard that question. I thought they might have found out about you and.... your secret." I say the last part a bit lower.

She sighs. "I'm just glad it over for now." I nod in agreement.

"What are you two hiding?" I look and the boys were looking at both of us. Oh, right. It's like I even forgot they were here for an instant. I'm glad we were whispering. "Nothing. Why you ask?" I reply to Louis' question. He just shakes his head. "Nevermind." Now it's my turn to stare at them. Seriously, do they think...? Nooooo, no way! Me and Lea? No. Just not yet.

Wait, yet?

Paul drops me and Lea off at my flat first. "Don't forget to bring your movies Liam!!!" Niall reminds me and I nod before unlocking the door and letting Lea go in first and then me.

"Okay Lea. Go pack up your clothes and everything you need. We're having a slumper party." I grin. It's been a long time since me and the guys had a slumper party. So we decided to do one tonight since we don't got much left to do in a few weeks.

"Ooooh a slumber party? Yaaaay!" She cheers and grins jumping up and down. I chuckle. "Yep, so pack up your things, it's tonight at Zayn's." She nods and heads to the guest room, which is her room now. I serve myself a cup of water and drink it before going up to my own room and start packing my things. Today shall be a fun night.

WOOOOOT!! How ya doing everyone?

I know, I know. Hit me with a baseball bat, with a microwave, with a car, with whatever you want. I will take it all.

It's been a REALLY, REALLY, REEEAAALLY loooooooong time since I've updated this and I've made some changes. Haha, time to hit me again... Well I know I said I wouldn't write anymore but now I got the inspiration to continue writing this fan-fic. Just for you guys! :3 So, yes I will start writing again and I WILL try to write a bit of something everyday so I can update more. I'm sorry if you guys were reading my other fan-fic called We Were More Than Just Best Friends. I deleted that one :/ lol, yep. Hit me and yell at me all the times you want. I just felt like I din't want to write that one anymore... idk. I got my ways and reasons, lol. BUT! This story will continue, but there's gonna be a little change. Just a little. Someone's going to co-write it with me from now on! Starting from next chapter!! :D

I hope you guys enjoy so far what I've planned (which I'm not telling) but I'm just gonna say- stay tuned! Cause there'll be more new fan-fics and stories I will be doing soon. I already got some planned out, so stay tuned everyone! ;) Hope you all like what I'll bring in for you guys this year~
