I know, you hate me. I'll explain at the end. But hey, I bet you thought I wouldn't update today, either :P
Let's recap, shall we?
So I had just gotten home from Diagon Alley where I met one of James' mates. It wasn't a pleasant affair, I'll tell you that much. And now that same friend is standing at my bloody door.
Who is that friend, you ask?
Only Sirius Black, also known as the bloke who can't keep his hands to himself.
I glared at him, before he actually smirked and said, "Hey, princess."
Oh no, he didn't! (A/N: Sorry, couldn't resist!)
"What do you want?" I said, trying to keep myself calm.
Still smirking, he replied, "You." I rolled my eyes. Actually, I'd heard this one often enough at Beauxbatons. But still, I actually knew those blokes. I haven't had a five minute conversation with this one!
"How'd you like to go out with me?" he asked. Ugh.
"I'll pass, thanks," I said through gritted teeth. Calm down, Jax, think turquoise thoughts. In case you haven't guessed, I'm trying to keep myself calm.
Thankfully, just as he opened his mouth to retort, my darling twin brother who I love a bit too much at the moment showed up, confused.
"What're you doing here, Paddy?"
Sirius looked between me and James, clearly thinking about something. Then, he smirked again and said, "I was just asking your gorgeous sister out. Is that okay with you?"
At that, James actually flinched, and became very pale. "Actually, I do," he said through gritted teeth.
If Sirius was confused before, it was nothing compared to now.
"Bu-"
"Why don't you go for a run, Jackie?" James said, artfully cutting him off.
I nodded as I exited my room. Sounds strange, doesn't it? I left my own room, with those two in it.
Wait. They're in my room...
Oh my Merlin. My photo album!
I sprinted back to my room, and swung the door open. Glancing at the two of them, who looked like they were having a heated argument, I grabbed my knapsack off of my bed and ran out of there.
Once I reached the garden, I put my knapsack on the bench, before running to the edge of the woods. Yes, woods. We have a tiny forest in our backyard, since we live on the absolute edge of Godric's Hollow. Once I got to the woods, I phased into my Animagus. It felt really good to have some alone time. I ran through the forest, jumping in random places, and practicing my metamorphmagus abilities, which surprisingly worked in Animagus form as well. As I glanced down at my paws, I witnessed as they changed from white to purple to sea green and back again. It's the coolest thing.
The rest of the afternoon passed in a blur, and as the sun was getting lower, I decided to change back. When I reached my knapsack on the bench, I took out a mirror, to make sure everything was fine. That's when I noticed that my hair was white! I panicked and changed it back to brown before walking back to my room, knapsack in hand.
Thankfully, no one was in my room when I got there.
A small victory.
Unfortunately, I had to go down to dinner anyway. Shame, I really would have preferred staying in my room for the rest of eternity. I'd also prefer to have Eli back, and to be going to Beauxbatons again, while you're at it.
It's truly a pity that none of that can ever happen.
But there is one this that I think is quite possible, and I really hope that it's already happened.
I hope Black is gone.

Dinner was uneventful.
He was still there, so I ate as fast as I could, before escaping to my room. I don't know why he effects me like this. I mean, will I be like this around all guys? It's pretty scary to think about.
But then, there are also the mild butterflies I get whenever I see dear old Sirius. I won't deny that he's pretty cute, but his personality is atrocious.
Please, that's a bloody understatement.
I pondered about this for a while longer, before going to bed. It was a long day, and I was exhausted, so I fell asleep almost instantly.

I was surprised to find myself humming all during breakfast the next morning. So was James, by the look of it. Sirius looked confused as to why everyone else was staring at me. I think Mum was estatic, but she did a great job not showing it. I felt considerably lighter since I woke up this morning. I felt like sunflowers and the color yellow. Why?
Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I didn't dream at all last night.
If you remember, I have really bad nightmares, and they occur every night. They are a major part of my depression, so when I don't have my nightmares, I wake up refreshed and happy. It's a big deal for me, okay?
And no, I know that I didn't have a nightmare, because I remember every nightmare I've ever had since falling into this depression, and believe me, there have been many. The fact that I didn't have one last night was very, very good. It meant that I was finally letting go. Moving on, but never forgetting.
It meant I wasn't depressed anymore. At least, not as much as I was.
It meant I was ready... ready for Hogwarts.
I'm so sorry! I was in Bermuda until Sunday! And then I got home and went online, only to find HALF OF THIS CHAPTER MISSING ASDFGHJKL
I checked all of the other chapters, they seem to be alright. Of course, first I rewrote the missing half. But by then it was Wednesday evening and I didn't see sense in uploading then rather than the coming Friday. Sorry if you think of that as my lack of judgement, but there you go ;P
But still. Shame on you, Wattpad, losing half of my chapter. *Tsk tsk*
I'm soo sorry and I promise it won't happen again. I swear by my bed. (That way you know I mean it.)
Kay, well, I hope you liked this chapter. Don't forget to comment, vote, and fan! And I'll see you next Friday.
Much love, Simmi Howell <33
