Prologue

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Calum asked me for the hundredth time.

"This could change everything Luke, everything." He pointed out. Calum fiddled with thumbs, unsure of what to tell me.

"What will exactly happen?" I asked, when Calum refused to say another word. But he didn't really have any words to say, so much was racing in his mind.

I know my decision is huge and once made, there would be no turning back.

"No one knows for sure. There are stories though, sometimes it can go really bad or really good, there's no between. Michael was one of the few lucky ones. You're playing with fate's hand, you know?" Calum sincerely wanted to try to talk me out this. I know it was irrational and irresponsible on my side for all the reasons being, but I had to do it.

I gulped, if I was going to act on the spurt of confidence I had, I was going to have do it now. "I'm ready." I stated, not sure if my brain or conscious was talking for me.

"Tell me this Luke, I just want to make sure you are one hundred percent sure. Is she really worth it?" Calum pressed,this was his last opportunity to ever convince me. But he knew deep down, my mind was already made up.

"She is." My  heart was racing at just the thought of her, "I can't be without her."

I have made many mistakes in life. Being an angel doesn't mean I'm perfect, I'm still tainted with what I can't change. But I didn't have the choice before, I didn't have the power of change like I do now. This was my one shot and I would be damned if I watch her in the arms of someone else.

She deserves to be happy but with me, and only me.

"Greed is a sin." Calum muttered, "This is your last chance mate. I can't change anything after, you have to live with the consequences no matter what."

"I'm ready." I confirmed, "Ready as I'll ever be."

Calum breathe in, "Then by the power of me, Luke Hemmings, you get your second chance, you're human again."

And then everything turned black.
