Chapter 21

I'm absolutely speechless. Liam was right. How did I not know? I'm not sure what to do. I call Caroline, asking her to meet me at the park. I find Paddy in the hall. "Paddy, I forgot about an errand I need to run. Can you please tell Liam I'll be back in awhile?"

"Of course, Liz."

I'm sitting on a bench at the park, replaying what happened in my head, when Caroline arrives. I start off by giving her a play by play of what just happened. "What do I do now?" I ask her.

"Well I guess my first question would be, what are your feelings towards Harry?"

She asks.

"Caroline, you know I love Liam with every part of me."

"So no feelings for Harry?"

I sigh. "I'm not blind. Harry is incredibly handsome, extremely sexy and one of the kindest people I've ever met. I mean I even told him, a different place and time, different circumstances."

"So if not for Liam, there could have been something with Harry?" Caroline asks.

"Yes. But there is Liam." I smile big. "Liam is everything to me."

She smiles."I know you love Liam with all your heart. And I know he loves you just as much. So really, this was all just for Harry. I believe he's trying to do the right thing. He doesn't expect anything from you. He was just doing what he needed to do to start to move on."

"I understand that. I'm just worried about him."

"Of course you are, he's still your dear friend." Caroline pauses. "So...what about the kiss?"

"It was actually quite innocent." I say.

"For you anyway. Will you tell Liam?" She asks.

I sigh. "I've been thinking about that. I don't really think there is any point in telling him. He already said to me that he thought Harry had a crush on me. He wasn't upset about it because he knew that H wouldn't act on it. Like you said Harry was just trying to do the right thing."

"I think you're absolutely right, Liz."

"Thanks so much for meeting me, Caroline. I feel much better. I just hope that Harry is ok."
