[told in third person]

Stepping out of the green pickup truck, Maddie took in all of the details on the house. She paused to wait for her mom to hop out from the other side.

"You ready?" her mom asked.

Maddie hesitated. "Yeah. I think so."

"Let's go then." Noticing her daughter's worried expression, she encouraged, "You'll be fine. Just be yourself and have fun."

Maddie glanced at her. "Okay, I will."

Together, they hiked up to the front door of the house. Maddie rang the doorbell. A few seconds passing turned into minutes passing.

"Are you sure that you're supposed to be here today?" Maddie's mom asked.

"Positive," Maddie stated.

More time passed.

Finally, the door opened and they were greeted by a face. "Hello! Sorry for the wait; I forgot to mention that my doorbell is broken." The lady laughed and held out her hand. "I'm Sia."

"I'm Melissa and this is my daughter Maddie," Maddie's mom introduced as she took Sia's hand.

"Hi, Maddie! It's an honor to meet you," Sia gushed as she hugged Maddie.

"You too."

"Why don't you come on in and we can get things started?" Sia suggested.

"Perfect," Melissa answered. As she stepped in thought the door, Melissa whispered in Maddie's ear, "You're already doing great."

it's over *cries until the world ends* I'm going to miss this story so much, it was really fun to write.

i'm thinking about doing a q&a, would everyone like that? just leave a question (or two or three or four) in the comments and I'll make another part for it after i have enough questions to answer :)

until next time♡
