So for my dad's birthday which was on the fourteenth of October I wore his last work ID all day.

Derek drove away from Beacon Hills High after making sure Stiles had made it safely inside. He bit his lip thinking about what Peter could possibly need his help with. Peter rarely asked for favors and when he did they were always extreme, which usually gave Derek headaches. He sighed shifting in his seat as he got onto the street that would eventually get him to his loft.

Derek felt his stomach twist with fear, he was afraid for the first time in along time he was scared and alone with his thoughts. He had no experience with children what so ever maybe his younger siblings but that was over six years ago making Derek extremely rusty. He bit his lips swallowing the lump in his throat. He definitely wanted the kid there was no doubt there he just didn't want to disappoint Stiles in any way. Plus Derek had no idea how to express his feelings about the whole situation with out sounding like an ass, consider him emotionally constipated.

What if Stiles wants to leave me because he knows how unfit I am to be a father. What if he doesn't want me around our kid? What if he hates me for getting him pregnant? I just don't want to fail him like I've failed everyone else in my life and I honestly don't want to fail our child. Why can't I do anything right?

Derek sucked in a deep breath trying to control his emotions but sooner or later he knew he was going to blow up it was only a matter of time now. He just hoped Stiles wasn't around when he did. Of course he didn't blame Stiles for anything or even think of hurting him, he just knew when it happened it wouldn't be pretty.

He pulled up to his loft parking his Camero in the parking lot. He shut off the engine and exited the car making his way up to his loft where he could here Peters steps from above him, Derek ran a hand through his hair trying to make himself feel better but he could feel the stress rolling around in him. He opened up the loft door to see Peter sitting by their italian coffee table, Derek instantly went to his uncle so he could fix the problem quickly and go back to what really mattered. Stiles and their unborn child.

"What do you want?" Derek spoke bluntly giving Peter a bored look.

"Now, now, nephew why do you automatically assume I want something what if I just want to tell you the problem before I deal with it myself." Peter spoke with a type of arrogance that annoyed the hell out of Derek.

"Either you tell me what you need or you actually will deal with it yourself." Derek crossed his arms over his chest rolling his eyes.

"Fine," Peter sighed seeing that Derek was in a sour mood today. "I might have ticked off our local fairies and now they want to sacrifice me to their leader."

"Fucking hell Peter you know how much I hate fairies." Derek sighed plopping onto the couch.

"Bare with me.I just need you to talk me out of their creepy fairy ritual." Peter pleaded seeing that Derek was the alpha of Beacon Hills.

"Technically you're not even part of my pack." Derek countered.

"But I am your family."

"Barely." Derek scoffed.

"I'm uncle Peter, Derbear." Peter grinned at his nephew.

"Uncle Peter who killed sister Laura." Derek spat defensively.

"I did what I had to do." Peter did look guilty but Derek knew that was an act.

"Kill your own niece for power, that wasn't something you had to do that was something you wanted to do." Derek muttered.
