I open my eyes to darkness. Pure darkness. My head felt groggy, and I struggled to tilt my head over to see what was to my left. What I saw began to scare me. I saw my hand chained up to a wall with steel the strength of an elephant, and behind my hand, I saw The Doctor unconscious on the hard stone floor.
"Doc...tor," I croaked, my voice extremely hoarse. I used my other hand to slap him weakly.
"No use doing that. He's under the influence of a stronger drug than you. I was under an even lighter than you." A voice to my right said. I slowly turned my head in its direction, careful not to tangle my lengthy hair in the cracks. I saw what looked like the Inkda that was helping us deal with Sabdor.
"Your...name?" I asked. It grinned- I think. My sight was still rather fuzzy.
"My name is Dargoth. Do you want me to unchain you?" Dargoth asked. I only noticed that it was wandering around. I nodded. Dargoth came up to my hand and pulled out a paper clip from the pocket of its gray spandex suit.
"Paper clips work on every planet." Dargoth said with a grin. Dargoth came up to my chained hand and stuck the paper clip in. It began twiddling itself around in a circle. Soon enough, my hand was free, and my eyesight was finally no longer foggy.
"What about him? The Doctor?" I asked, rubbing my wrist.
"Already done." Dargoth said, pointing to The Doctor on the ground in a small ball, eyes fluttering open. I lit up at the sight of the Doctor's consciousness. He began to open his mouth to ask a question, but I interrupted him.
"Sabdor locked the 3 of us in here after the blackout and drugged us. But Dargoth unlocked us. Do something! How do we stop Sabdor?!" The Doctor rubbed his eyes tiredly. Dargoth turned me around.
"Sabdor can only be beaten...by death" It said sadly. A loud crack came from above.
"I see that you're all awake!" A voice came over a loudspeaker, laughing loudly.
"Remember me? It's your friend! Sabdor!" I cocked my head and looked at Dargoth.
"Haha I'm just joking! I'm going to kill you all, revenge for keeping my hidden for SO MANY YEARS!!" Sabdor shrieked. I crouched onto the ground next to the Doctor and gently shook him.
"Doctor! Help me!" I said, fearfully. He leaned up on me and looked deep into my eyes.
"If you say you don't know what to do again, I'm going to kill you." I said, trying to be playful. The Doctor smiled.
"Don't worry Danielle. I know exactly what to do." He grabbed his sonic screwdriver out of his pocket and pointed it towards the high ceiling. The stones along the walls began to rumble, and Sabdor's voice came over the speaker again.
"Do you think a SCREWDRIVER is going to stop me? Well NOPE! You're wrong! I've deadlocked the speaker! You can't kill me through there anymore! Enjoy the water!" On cue, a brick was violently shot across the dungeon and shattered on the adjacent wall. Water came pouring in after it, pressure like a jet.
"Dargoth! What's going on?!" I shouted over the roar of the water. Dargoth looked at me solemnly.
"Sabdor is going to drown us. Slowly. And. Painfully." I shifted my view quickly toward the Doctor to see him pulling a brick nearby.
"Danielle! Look over there and tap each brick! If it vibrates when you tap it, call me over and pull it out! And same with you Dargoth!" We both cocked our heads, extremely confused.
"Why don't you just use your screwdriver?" I asked. The Doctor turned around, clearly trying to be clever.
"I can't. I may take out a brick with water behind it, and it'll drown us faster! Sabdor is playing with us! We have to solve the puzzle, and fast! I don't want to get my bowtie wet!" I quickly ran to the other side of the dungeon and began frantically tapping bricks.
"Over here!" Dargoth screamed. Its face was getting covered with water. "I found a vibrating brick!" It screamed. The Doctor hurried over to Dargoth and made the green light of his screwdriver circle around the cement of the brick. It slowly slid out, and I pulled at it to make it go faster; the water was up to my and the Doctor's knees, Dargoth's waist. The brick finally fell out, the reveal a white room.
"Yes!" I shouted. "Doctor! Do that more!" I cheered. The Doctor looked deeply into my eyes.
"Before I do, I have to give you something." He reached into his pocket and pulled something out, yet continued to keep it hidden, like he wanted me to guess.
"Is it a key to the TARDIS?" I asked excitedly. He shook his head, disappointing me.
"You're so good in a crisis, so I thought, what happens if Danielle needs to get out of a box or something, but it's locked?" He said.
"Is this going where I think it is?" I asked happily. The Doctor nodded, and pulled another sonic screwdriver out of his pocket. It was metal, like his, but the tip was orange, my favorite color. I squeaked of happiness and grabbed him.
"Thank you!!!!" I said. Dargoth tugged my shirt.
"Sorry to interrupt, but DROWNING HERE!" It screamed. I laughed and apologized. I quickly pressed a button on my new screwdriver and let the orange tip glow. As fast as I could, I dragged it on the edges of more bricks, pulling them out one by one. Finally, after we removed 10 bricks, and got into the white room on the other side. Suddenly, someone popped out from the side.
"Here I am! Miss my BEAUTIFUL face?" Sabdor said smugly.
