My worst nightmare was finally becoming my reality. After my awkward encounter (if thats what one would call it.) with Bryan and Becky took place, Bryan wanted to speak with me, great. In all of the places in this big ass building, he chooses to be with me, I was watching Joe's match and promo in some room, before some 5'10 bearded guy in a flannel approached me.
"Hey Brianna." Bryan said invitingly. Brianna? I thought He had always called me Brie.
"Hello. Bryan." I replied, trying to focus on my new and better man's in-ring work.
"How are you?" He asked keeping his eyes glued to my cheek as he sat in the chair next to me.
"I'm great." I lied. This. Was. Shitty. And... He was annoying at this point. Truly, I wanted him to go away. "How are you?"
"Better than ever!" Bryan exclaimed, "I just bought a house with Rebecca. And... Things are going good. Really well."
I couldn't understand whether he was here to talk to me, or brag to me. Honest, I understood. His new girlfriend was hot as hell, young as hell, entertaining as hell, and foreign as hell. Everything I pretty much wasn't. Also, I didn't really understand WHY he was rubbing it in my face, I mean, He knew I was married, Joe, Bryan, and I's 'Love Scandal' was the biggest backstage drama since Matt Hardy, Lita, and Edge (At least... It felt that way). It didn't really make sense. Was Bryan trying to get under my skin? Because he was sure as hell doing so.
"Oh really? Thats awesome." I said cringing as I watched Joe take in a huge and disastrous move. Bryan was still yapping away in my ear, which was unlike him, he was usually quiet and humble about... Everything. Bragging was never something he would do. What an ass.
After what felt like hours, I sadly tuned into what Bryan was saying he was still raving about Becky, "Yeah, I know she's younger than me and early in her WWE run. But I think she wants kids. I mean, I'll make that commitment, just, marriage is something I'll never do again." Bryan and I both sighed. At this point in our half-assed conversation, I was annoyed, aggravated, and irritated. I was about to snap on this goat of a man, and he'd better hope someone or something stopped me. As I sucked in a breath to say something, my Joe emerged from the doorway. My eyes were drawn to him while the sweat sparkled against his perfectly tan skin.
"Brie? Ready to go?" Joe said with his ringing beautiful voice. I didn't have a match that night. Which, after this conversation with Bryan, I think I needed.
Realizing I had just been staring at Joe, he caught my attention again, "Brie? Are you alright?" His voice came out like diamonds.
"Y- Yeah!" I said hesitantly and anxiously, "Lets go." I rose from my chair, walking to Joe as he stood in the doorway. In order to show Joe that Bryan and I had made peace, I waved at him before turning back to Joe. Our hands clasped together like two puzzle pieces as we walked toward our rental car.
