“Ok Chloe, you can change into your regular clothes now… “Doctor Jin said, ang pinsan ni Joshua. Tumayo ako sa hospital bed and went inside the changing room.

Dr. Jin arrived 2 days ago, and since then, I had a series of check-ups and tests. Kumpleto naman ang mga gamit sa clinic ng Falcon, kaya hindi na namin kailangan pang pumunta sa mga hospitals sa town. Ooopppsss, correction.. Mas high tech pala ang mga gamit dito compared sa mga high end hospitals sa Manila. And since Josh’s family is one of the board of directors of Falcon, Doctor Jin is allowed to check me out here with no questions ask and with full confidentiality. 

It has been 3 days since the “pond” incident pero ngayon lang ako pumayag magpatingin. Before pa kami makarating sa clinic non, I struggled for them not to take me there. Pinilit kong tumayo sa pagkakabuhat ni Josh just to prove to them that I’m ok, though my body says otherwise. Dahil alam ko, once na malaman ng clinic staff ang kalagayan ko, they are going to immediately inform my mom. Knowing her, susugod kaagad dito yon at ipipilit na iuwi ako.

Not now… Not now that I’m already coping up with my studies.  And I’m having so much fun here with my newly found friends that I can actually hang out with. Malapit na rin naman ang bakasyon… What is 2 more weeks? After ng finals, I can rest. And maybe I can fully recover. Masyado lang siguro akong na-s-stress. Pahinga lang ang katapat nito.

After so much arguing with Josh and Alex, pumayag din sila.  Iniuwi nila ako sa cabin pero minonitor nila ako, up to the wee hours of the night. And the fuss they all did! Grabe as in grabe! Daig ko pa ang taong naghihingalo kung alagaan nila! Ang OA!

Josh demanded his cousin to be here as soon as possible, despite of his very heavy schedule. Grabe, sobrang nahihiya ako sa pinsan ni Josh! Imagine, papuntahin all the way from South Korea just to check me out! And to think that he’s one of the finest and in demand cardiologist in their country! Hello!  Ang sarap lang batukan ni Josh! 

I told him not to make so much fuss out of nothing. Sabi ko nga sa kanila, na-s-stress lang talaga ako. Pero hindi talaga matinag! 

Well to be honest, ayoko din talagang magpa-checkup. Parang ayoko ng malaman ang totoo. Cause deep inside I have this gut feeling. Kinakabahan talaga ako. I know that something is terribly wrong with me again.

I sighed… But I know I have to face the truth.

I walked out of the changing room after checking myself out in the mirror. 

Naabutan kong naguusap ng seryoso ang magpinsan. Nakakunot ang noo ni Josh, mukhang seryoso talaga ang pinag-uusapan nila, I’ve never seen Josh like that. Hindi ko maintindihan ang sinasabi nila dahil Korean ang medium nila… 

Napansin nila akong dumating and Dr. Jin smiled at me. He motioned me to sit down opposite josh in front of his desk…. 

“So how are you feeling?” Tanong nya…

“Hmmmm… Good. The herbs you gave me worked wonders…. “I said smiling.

Napakabait nyang doctor, yung feeling mo na mapagkakatiwaan mo talaga nya ng buhay mo. Hindi katulad ng mga doctor ko na ang susuplado na ang susungit pa!
