Chapter 14

Chloe

“We are all riding together and that is final…“ Tita Charlie said firmly while Alex pouted.

“Bakit ba kasi hindi na lang ako nakasabay kila mommy? Nandito na pala ang kumag na yan… May bitbit pang maligno!!!” Alex whispered to me.. Referring to Charles and Dyllan, who are now comfortably sitting at one of the couches…

“Just get over it Alex. You’re being so childish.” Charles said nonchalantly.

We were riding the Montemayor’s private bus going to Ilocos. Everybody agreed that it’ll be more fun going there on the road rather than flying… Pero nag-detour sa airport ang bus at pi-nick-up si Charles at Dyllan, na kakalanding lang ng private plane nila from UK. Tito Zack was also there pero may kailangan pa daw syang tapusin sa office kaya susunod na lang daw sya bukas, sabay na daw sila ng Daddy ni Alex.

Ang akala kasi ni Alex, na sasabay na lang sa chopper sila Charles kila Tito Zack bukas, kaya mas ginusto nyang sumabas sa bus kesa sa mommy nya na nauna na kahapon sa resort.

They were shocked when Charles and Dyllan climb in the bus… Ayun, nagsintir ng nagsintir si Alex  kaya pinagalitan ni Tita Charlie… hehehehehe…. Capable din pala syang magalit.. hehehehe

“What’s with you and Charles? You treat yourselves like siblings  before…“ Sabi ni Tita Charlie sitting at one of the couch beside Charles and Dyllan.

“Not anymore Tita… Ask him why…. Alika na nga, Chloe, doon na lang tayo sa bedrooms.“ Sabi ni Alex at hinila na ako papuntang rear ng bus, kasunod ni Sky.

I looked back and gave an apologetic smile at Tita Charlie… Charles is right, Alex is really acting so childish… I looked at Dyllan whose busy texting someone… I shrugged.. Hindi rin naman nya ako pinapansin simula kaninang dumating sila, just a simple nod to acknowledge my presence, pagkatapos nun, wala na.…. Well, at least he’s doing his part of the bargain… But why do I feel depressed about it?

Alex threw herself at one of the bunk beds and I sat at the bed opposite her…. Sky climbed at the bunk bed on top of Alex…

Naiwan si Zia kasama sila Tita Charlie. At si Josh naman, as usual, nandon din, at walang kamalay malay sa mga eksenang naganap dahil nakasubsob na naman sa libro ang mukha… Sobrang nag-co-concentrate sa binabasa nya… Masyado syang engrossed…. I don’t blame him.. Mukhang may nadiscover syang solusyon sa heart ko and Dr. Jin is so excited about it, he can’t wait until they’ve implemented the enhancement on my pendant. Hindi na nga sya uuwi, aantayin na lang daw nya ang pag-uwi namin para may ilagay sa puso ko, and that means a very long syringe that will pierce my heart…. Nyiiii!!! Naiisip ko pa lang natatakot na ko… But if it can save my heart from deteriorating…. Why not? Sabi ni Josh, with the help of the little thing that they will implant on my heart plus the pendant, it will work wonders and repair my heart. And in due time, pwede ko na i-let go ang pendant… Dr. Jin said that my heart will be as good as new… I really hope that it’ll work…
