I have learned to accept my fate before. How hard can it be for the second time?

I sighed and I tried to smile.

Wala namang mangyayari kung magmumukmok ako diba?

Kailangan ko lang na lakasan ang loob ko.

I will be fine. I promised myself.

If I only have a few more months to live, then I’m gonna enjoy it as much as I can!

“YES I WILL ENJOY MY LIFE!!!”, or at least the remainder of it.

It has been 2 weeks since Dr. Jin told me the bad news. Sa una hindi ko alam kung anong mararamdaman ko. Matatakot? Malulungkot? Magagalit?

But then again, after sooo much thinking and reflecting. I decided to be happy…. and to be grateful.

Grateful for having my life prolonged just a little bit longer. Grateful for entering the most awesome university in the country. Grateful for meeting my super fabulous friends! I wouldn’t trade them for anything!

I zipped my suitcase and I sat on it.

It’s vacation time!

Tapos na ang 1st sem. I can say that I finished it with flying colors. Ang hirap ng mga exams promise!!! Torture talaga mga teachers dito! Feeling ko talaga, nag-eenjoy sila sa pag-to-torture sa min! Well… At least I know I did a good job, and I congratulate myself for that. I thought with a satisfied smile….

Tumayo ako at binuksan ko ang pinto ng terrace ng kwarto ko. Ang lamig!!!! But I don’t mind... I pulled my jacket tighter. I stepped out in the cold and I enjoyed the cool air. I just want to feel the cold atmosphere of Baguio. I inhaled deeply, enjoying the scent of the pine trees.

Hindi ko alam kung makakabalik pa ako dito. Hindi ko alam kung hanggang kailan tatagal ang puso ko. Kahit isang sem pa…. 

Hinawakan ko ang malaking antique pendant na nakasukbit sa leeg ko. It rested at the spot where my heart is.

Josh...

He really did get out of his way for this. I smiled….

Kung titignan mo ito, parang ordinaryong antique pendant lang ito. But this piece of device already saved me a couple of times. It’s not only a monitoring device wherein Josh and Dr. Jin can actually see the condition of my heart from their tablets. Kahit nasa south Korea na si Dr. Jin, he can actually monitor it and do something about it. The pendant also exerts some kind of energy whenever i feel stressed and volts whenever I’m in the verge of a heart attack. Kapag may nararamdaman akong tingling sensation, alam kong may energy na lumalabas from the pendant. Then after a while I feel calm... Kung minsan nga nakakatulog ako. Buti na lang at hindi ako inaabutan ng antok sa exams!

The pendant can actually regulate my heart, but unfortunately, Josh’s invention haven’t come to a point to heal my heart...

Dr. Jin said that it can give me time but he doesn’t know up to when. They said that we have to find a donor and fast. The sooner that I have the transplant, the better. My heart is deteriorating faster than expected. The pendant can help but they don’t know up to what extent...
