  Chapter 6

I met Dylan at the gate. He was leaning against the wall. Geez he looked so hot!

"So, where are we going?" I asked curiously.

"I thought we could go to short hills mall for a while, then head of over to Amanda's."

"Oh my gosh! Really? We're going to Amanda's? That restaurant is so pricey though!"

"I know, but your worth it."

That was the sweetest thing anyone had ever said to me.

  "Well then let's go."

When we arrived at the mall, I got out of the car and he wrapped his arm around my waist. It was quite comforting, but I had to remember that he was just trying to make me kiss him, and I knew that wasn't gonna happen ...

I laughed as I remembered how stressed Callum was about his date tonight. He was sweating like a pig and rushing around trying to find his shirt; which had been lying on his bed the whole time. I made a mental note to ask him how it went when I got home.

As we walked inside, I pushed him against the wall and pressed my body against his. He had a look of shock on his face and then he smirked. He liked it. And I knew that. I leaned in, our faces were really close.

"I know what your trying to do," I said, "and your not going to win!"

With that, I pushed myself off of him and walked away. He stood there surprised at what I'd said and after a few seconds he realised that I started walking away. And he ran right after me.

We were walking around the mall and I tried on a few clothes. I tried on this tight, black, party dress with a gold trim on the bottom.

"You look amazing babe!" Dylan said, walking up behind me, wrapping his hands around my waist and resting his head on my shoulder. I looked at us in the mirror. It did seem that he truly liked me. But I didn't know if that was part of the game or not.

"Really? I didn't think it looks that good?"

"Trust me, it does!" He exclaimed.

I walked away from his embrace, straight back into the fitting rooms and changed back into my black, 3-quarter top, jeans and black, knee-high boots. I walked out and Dylan was waiting at the door.

"Let's go," I said putting the dress back and walking out of the shop.

An hour went past and we were ready to go to Amanda's. We had just made it through the doors and we were waiting to be seated. A youngish guy came and showed us to our seats. There was so much food that looked so good, but I didn't want to look or feel like a pig.

As we ordered I looked around at where we were sitting. It was beside a huge window. The night sky looked amazing! I looked back at the table and there were roses everywhere, and surprisingly there was barely any people. It was quite strange. Dylan and I were sitting there just looking into each others eyes. His bright, blue eyes were mesmerizing. Our food came and it smelt so good. We were about to eat, when he leant in towards me. His facial expression so calm. I swear I was about to kiss him if it wasn't for what I saw next!

My brother sitting at a table. And that was the only normal part that I saw. He had borrowed $50 from me for his date ... but he never told my his date was a guy! I jumped back in shock and Dylan looked at me weird.

"What's wrong? Is there something wrong?"

"No," I said, "it's just ... my brother is sitting over there."

Dylan turned around, not trying to make it obvious.

  "Yeah what about him?"

"Well he told me that he was going out with someone tonight ... and his on a date with a guy."

He turned around again. His face in shock.

"It's not that bad he's on a date with a guy," I said to his overly surprised face.

"Yeah I know, it's just that," he paused taking a gulp, "the guy he's on a date with is ... my little brother."

We sat there in silence. I think that discovery ruined the mood.
