  Chapter 12

  Callum's POV

"Hey Chloe. I'm going out. Be back later."

"Callum, where are you going?" I heard Chloe yell from upstairs.

"Just going out ... with Jesse," I whispered.

Chloe seemed to be fine about me and Jesse. I was actually quite surprised. Only if it was that easy to talk about it with my mum and dad.

Jesse had text me earlier today telling me to meet him at the lake near the abandoned school. People rarely went out there. It was about an hour away from my house.

I haven’t actually talked to Jesse properly for a while and I was actually really excited to see him.

  Jesse's POV

I grabbed my phone out of my bag and texted Callum.

'Hey Callum, if ur free tonight meet me at the lake out by the abandon school @ 5:30. hope i see u there. luv Jesse xxx'

Putting my phone down, I walked down stairs to go get some food. Dylan was sitting there on the couch. I haven’t really forgiven him. When I found out he was the one that set up people to beat me and Callum up, I was really pissed.

  *FLASH BACK*

"WHAT THE FUCK DYLAN?! I THOUGHT YOU WOULD SUPPORT ME!"

"JESSE YOU CAN'T SERIOUSLY BE THAT MAD AT ME?! I JUST DON'T LIKE GAYS!

"MAD? I'M BEYOND MAD! YOU BEAT UP MY BOYFRIEND AND I!"

"I DIDN'T BEAT YOU GUYS UP!"

"WELL YOU TOLD PEOPLE TO! THAT'S JUST AS BAD! I HONESTLY HATE YOU AT THE MOMENT! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DID THAT TO YOUR OWN BROTHER!"

"Jesse," he said quieting down, "I know I was an asshole ... but you're gay and that's just as bad.”

"An asshole? That's an understatement! And how the fuck is being gay as bad as my own BROTHER getting people to beat up me and his girlfriend's brother?"

  "I'm sorry."

"No you're not! And anyway, you’re not forgiven! I should tell Chloe! She deserves so much better than a low life scum like you!"

  "DON'T YOU DARE TELL CHLOE!"

"Why shouldn't I? Give me one good reason why I shouldn't tell her or Callum. You basically bashed her brother. She should know what type of douche she is dating!"

"Jesse, don’t tell Chloe. I - I think I love her. I don't want one absolutely stupid decision to wreck what I have with her. Please, Jesse, don't tell her!" he begged.

"Fine! I won't tell her. But you should. And Dylan, you can hate gays all you want, but I am one, so learn to deal with it!”

  *FLASH BACK OVER*

I haven’t talked to Dylan in about a week. I've wanted to tell Callum but I don’t know how. I don’t know how he will react. And I told my brother that I wouldn’t tell Chloe. It's killing me not being able to tell Callum or Chloe.

It was 4:30 p.m. and I was about to leave to go meet Callum. I grabbed my keys, wallet and phone and was about to walk out the door when Dylan suddenly had the courage to speak to me.

“Jesse, can we talk for a second?”

“No. I’m leaving. We can talk later,” I said rudely walking out the door.
