[Kriya's POV]

Evening rolled around and it would soon be night. As I was getting ready, I was thankful that Sharon had decided to go out on a dinner with Swayam. I wouldn't have to lie to her about where I was going. I was happy to have the house to myself. Oh, and I forgot to mention, now that the camp was done with and final contenders were selected, we didn't necessarily have to stay in the accommodation provided by them. I was glad of that another fact, though I have a feeling Rey might have had something to do with that sudden change.

Just as the clock struck 8, the doorbell rang. I laughed, amused, as I rushed down the stairs to open the door. "How early did you come?" I asked, knowing that he was waiting outside for the clock to strike 8.

"How did you know?"

"Oh come on, I think I know you by now." I replied back, welcoming him in.

He looked at me, top to bottom, dressed in a purple dress. "You look beautiful." He complimented. I was worried I'd be over-dressing myself. I probably still am, but now, I don't care. All that matters is that I'll be with him.

I smiled and replied, "Thank you!"

"Chale?" He asked and I nodded.

The dinner passed by with no awkwardness between us. We simply had the best time after years. Both of us were together and what more could I ask for? We were mending our relationship and that was for the best. Everything was perfect for the moment. While having desert, my eyes fell on the entrance. I was shocked seeing the couple entering. Instantly, I turned around to hide my face and nudged Rey to look towards the entrance. He, too, became aware.

He whispered and asked, "What are they doing here?"

"Remember they were going out for dinner?" I whispered back.

"They had to choose this spot?" He spoke back angrily.

"We need to go." I said and he agreed. Rey paid the bill and though I normally would fight him to split it, I didn't this time knowing we had no time for a useless argument, given I would always lose that one argument. While walking out the door, Sharon and Swayam walked past us. I don't know how, but we managed to walk right by them without either of the two catching us.

It almost felt like the old days, when we would be sneaking around and going out on dates. Once we were outside, we took a sigh of relief and sharing a look, burst out laughing. It surely was going to be fun hiding our continuing relationship from everyone. Unaware of what would come next, Rey took my hand in his as we walked towards his car.

Rey stopped the car in front of the beach we often used to hang out at after evening hours. Like before, we jumped up on the front bonnet, just lying there and looking up at the sky. Why did our life have to be just as complicated as counting the stars in the sky? I wasn't a big fan of hiding things from people I am closest to, but I have to agree as well. So far, it has also been exciting. As much as I wanted to tell everyone in my life, I knew I couldn't. Not only because of the situation with this competition, but also because somewhere, I was still a bit scared and hesitant. I was afraid of being hurt again and I wanted us to be closer than ever before, before announcing it to others that we were back together.

Rey slowly let his hand come on top of mines. I was aware of it but did not react. I shouldn't react. We were trying to move forward and it was normal for couples to hold hands.

"You know, it's going to be a problem to lie to Sharon and Swayam till the end of the competition." I spoke up.

"I know... they find out everything about us and lying to them straight for about two months is not going to be easy."
