Nightmare's POV
I woke up with a jolt. I sat up breathing heavily and covered in sweat. It was just a bad dream. It was just a nightmare. It was just a nightmare. Oh god, my name is Nightmare! This name is not helping! But the scariest thing was, I actually remember that attack. It was about a year or two ago now, but still! I remember ordering that creeper to attack the boy! I remember everything!
Pull yourself together Nightmare. Just pull yourself together. It's all in the past now. There's nothing I can do to change it. Pull yourself together, I've got to try and get home.
I stood up and walked out of the alleyway. I started walking to, I have no idea, I just started walking along a path. I'm not giving up yet. I kept walking until I bumped into a sign. I step back rubbing my forehead and looked at the sign. It read: Bellwood High. A school. Great, just what I need. I'm never going to school again, in my opinion a few days of a lifetime is enough. But my feet were tired from walking so much, so I sat on a bench outside of it.
I sat there for a few minutes thinking about all the stuff I knew about this strange world of 'New York' in my opinion not the best name for a world, but oh well. Then a girl sat next to me. Perfect, not. She again, looked around my age, had long brown hair with red glasses where you could lightly see brown eyes, a tannish skin colour, reasonably tall, and wearing navy jeans with a leaf green shirt and a silver necklace with a jade jewel in it's centre. I avoided my eyes from her. Now I felt awkward, even more perfect, not.
"Uuh, hi. Does this belong to you?" She asked quite cheerfully and held out a small red cube with cute little eyes, weird, it looked like a tiny toy version of Jelly. I stared at it.
"I saw it drop out of your pocket." She said handing it to me. I took it and examined it carefully.
"Come on sis. School will start soon." A boy tapped the girl on the shoulder. He had the same tannish skin, short and rather messy brown hair, brown eyes, slightly taller than the girl, wearing a black shirt with navy pants and a pair of goggles on his head.
"Oh, just a moment!" She called to him and he stood waiting.
"That's my twin bro Thomas, my name's Lily by the way, what's yours?"
"Uh, my name's, uh, Grace." Why do I always get tongue-tied when people ask what my name is? And why do I usually have trouble remembering what my false name was? And why did she want to know my name? I just stared at her, grinning nervously or awkwardly (well, both really).
"Ok, nice to meet you Grace. Bye." Lily said obviously feeling awkward too, and walked off with her brother. Phew, I hate awkward silence.
I put the cube into my pocket and started walking back to what I guess would be my home until I find a way to actually get home. Which I wasn't actually too sad about, at least I wasn't crowded by these bunch of idiots who obviously think it's fine to destroy worlds! And why do people here want to know my name after I met them five seconds ago? I mean jeez, twice in two day-
"Give it back!" A boy yelled from behind me interrupting my thoughts. I turned around a little angry and curious. A boy with brown hair and brown eyes wearing a navy shirt with black pants was desperately trying to grab a phone out of a taller and older boys hands. He couldn't quite reach it up in the air as the taller boy continued to tease him.
"Why? What are ya gonna do, huh? Geek me to death?" The taller boy teased.
I didn't really care and turned around again to keep walking back. But then it hit me.
That was the boy from the house I found myself in when I got here.
