Two Years Ago

"What are you doing today?" Ujin asked as she came from behind and grabbed Taehyung's hand. "Shall we get some ice cream to celebrate this special day?" She tilts her head happily, waiting for his reply.

"Let go of my hand," he simply answered. When she doesn't let go, he sighed and shook her off, "I'm busy, alright?" It came out harsher than he had expected and her smile was now long gone.

"What's wrong?" She asked worriedly. "Are you feeling well?" She then goes in front of Taehyung and gently places her hand on his forehead. There was a disappointed frown on her face. The temptation of holding her was a burden. All he wanted to do was hold her, but he couldn't.

He caught her hand, and pulled it down. "Let's stop talking for a while." When her lips parted, He looked away. As he began to walk away from her, her hands catches his, making him stop in place.

"What do you mean stop?" Her eyes were now serious and in shock. His back faced towards her, not wanting to see her face. "Talk to me." Her thumb grazed over the back of his palms as she softly spoke out. Taehyung couldn't take it anymore.

Why was she always like this?

She always knew a way of calming him. "What happened?" Her voice was still soft as she tried not to break out in tears.

He closed his eyes. "Get away from me!" He shouted and harshly pulled his hands away from her. He was now facing her, with anger in his eyes.

She was taken aback; scared. It was the first time he seen her so scared in his entire life. "Did I do something wrong?" She took a step closer to him, but he backed away, wanting to keep his distance as far as possible.

Then he saw it; tears were already forming in her eyes, but she held it in. "Look Ujin, I'm sick and tired of you being around me." He then sighed, "so just go away."

"No, I can't leave you." Her voice quivered as if it was about to break any second now. "I'm not going to leave you." Taehyung paused, and his eyes softened a little, making him realize that he didn't want to do this.

"Then I'll leave you."

She was quiet as he started to leave. Her breath trembled as it came out of her mouth. He heard her sniff a little bit before hearing her voice again. "You were playing with me from the start, weren't you?"

Those words got to him, making him stop once more. He clenched his hands into a fist, and took a deep breath.

No, my feelings were sincere.

"Yea, I was. Now get out of my face," he said harshly.

"So that's your final decision?" She questioned, already out of tears. "Thanks for making my birthday the best day yet," she let out a scoff, trying her best to not let another drop of tears fall down her face. He could hear her walk away from, and he did the same as well.

Neither of us looked back.

His heart dropped as he thought about what he had done. He wanted to turn back time and feel her against him once more. He wanted her back; he wanted to see her smile again. He couldn't bare seeing her hurt, yet he done it.

"You deserve someone better than me."

Taehyung smiled sadly at the thought of Ujin. "I'm glad to see you're doing so well by yourself." He knew he lost someone special, and couldn't come to forgive himself whenever he saw her.

Taehyung stopped in his tracks as he saw the girl he had been thinking about lately. Her eyes met his and she choked, making Taehyung smile a bit. "You're still the same as ever."

He continues to walk but soon, his smile fades and all he could think of how much he missed having her by his side.
