Chapter 2 - meeting

"Haley?!.." I heard my mom yell from the kitchen.

I sighed, then got off the bed and walked out of my room.

"Yeah?!.." I replied.

I walked to the edge of the kitchen and stood there to see my mom digging into the fridge.

"Can you do me a favor and go down and get the keys for the room and the mailbox? I need to run to the store and pick up some things."

I sighed, but agreed to it.

I walked away from her and over to the door.

I went outside and headed down the opposite hall that we came through.

I passed probably a gazillion doors when I finally turned a corner.

I turned to see many more doors, but when I looked around, I saw two elevators right there.

I went over to them and pushed the button.

I waited a moment, until finally the doors opened.

Then, I walked inside and pushed the button to go down to the ground floor.

The doors closed, and I felt the elevator beginning to go down.

I just stood there waiting because I was six floors up.

But as I waited, I could hear music playing in the elevator.

I kind of liked it.

I mean, all it really said in the beginning was "Na..Na Na Na..Na Na Na..."

But I gotta admit that it was pretty catchy, and I kind of wanted to sing along.

"Wow, this song is really catchy," I thought to myself.

I listened to it till I finally got to the first floor.

Then, the doors opened and I walked out.

I almost ran through the hall to get to the desk.

Finally, when I got there, I quickly asked for the keys to my room and mailbox.

She asked me my name and my room number.

I quickly told her, and she gave me a bunch of envelopes and handed me the keys.

She started telling me something, but I can't really remember what she said.

"Just call my mom!" I yelled from across the room.

Then I started running back to the elevator.

I went over to push the button, but instead I watched someone else push it.

I stood there and looked at him.

He was very handsome.

He was short, like I was, but he was a bit taller (shocking).

He had shoulder length brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes.

He wore a black leather jacket and a white t-shirt with black skinny jeans and biker boots

I also looked at his shirt to see what it said.

" "

I looked at it with a confused expression, but then I saw the doors open.

I walked inside, quickly, trying not to seem weird, but watched him walk in slowly.

He pushed the button for the sixth floor and I stood there with a smile that crept across my face.
