Chapter 3 - Second meeting

I continued to stare in silence.

"What do you mean?" my mom said still a little confused.

"The guy that I met on the elevator.....it was Frank Iero."

"Are you serious?...he's kind of cute. Maybe you should ask him..."

"Mom!!!" I yelled interrupting her. "Is that really necessary? I just met the rhythm guitarist for a super ultra famous band. And now you just want me to go and ask him out?"

She just stared at me in silence.

"Uggghhh.." I said getting up from the couch and walking up to the door.

I slammed the door open, and I ran out the door.

I ran down the hall as fast as I could till I finally reached Room 607.

Then, I ran up and knocked on the door.

I waited a minute, but then I heard no answer.

I banged on the door one more time and yelled, "Frank!!..I need to talk to you!"

But after I banged the door open, I watched the door slowly begin to open.

I watched it move until it finally hit the wall.

I stood there at the edge of the door and looked around.

It was dark, cold, and looked like a dump.

I walked in and looked at the living room.

The tv and lamp was smashed, the couches were ripped and tipped over, and the carpet was torn.

I walked over to the kitchen to see the refrigerator door off its hinges with food piled everywhere, and all of the cabinets with breakable plates and cups were open with everything smashed on he floor.

Then, I walked over to the bedroom next door.

I walked slowly up to the doorway and opened the door to look inside.

My hands tensed up as I looked inside.

I could barely see anything, except the spots where the light of the moon came in.

The bed was tipped over and torn to pieces, and every piece of furniture in the room was broken to pieces.

Even the wallpaper was torn off of the walls.

I walked over to the window to see that the glass had been broken out of it.

I also noticed water on the floor indicating that it had just rained.

Then I looked outside and down below to see the glass shards lying on the ground.

So that must mean that someone jumped out of the window.

I leaned my head out of the window a little bit to see a ladder.

I leaned my head back in, but then turned around and lifted my legs out the window.

Then I set them on the ladder and began crawling out the window and down the ladder.

I climbed down a few steps before I reached the ground and jumped off.

I landed roughly on the wet, muddy ground, but then I looked down the abandoned alley.

It was really quiet, except for the sound of cans rolling around and mice scurrying into their little hiding places.

I walked slowly down the alley and felt my heart beating really fast.

"Maybe I shouldn't be here," one part of me said.

Then the other part of me thought, "Hey, you just met Frank Iero. Who cares?"

"Either way felt like the wrong choice, but I continued to walk.

Finally, I reached the end of the alley, but only to stumble upon a three-way intersection.

I looked both ways, but couldn't figure out which one I should take.

I looked down at the mud and saw a bunch of footprints, but I noticed one individual pair of footprints going in the left direction.

I turned the left corner and started walking down that way.

It seemed to feel colder the farther I walked down that path.

I could feel the wind getting stronger, too.

But as I walked, I could hear small voices off in the distance over the howl of the wind.

I stopped and looked down the alley for a moment to see if anyone was there.

Then, I stepped forward slowly beside the wall to come across another alley corner.

I continued to hear voices nearby as I got closer to the edge.

Finally, I reached the edge, but I waited a moment.

The voices had silenced.

I waited a few more seconds, when finally, I turned quickly.

I looked down the alley, but saw nothing.

I relaxed and took a deep breath.

Then I turned around to look back the other way, but then, all of a sudden, I saw a face.

I screamed at the top of my lungs in terror at this surprise.

I backed up in shock all the way to the wall.

It was a man.

He had short, dirty, brownish-gray hair and was wearing disgusting clothes.

I stood there while slowly trying to back up, but I felt him grab me around the throat and try to suffocate me.

But when I thought I was about to pass out, I could see someone in all black come out of nowhere and attack the man.

I stood there silent, but still in shock as I watched the two fight.

I could tell the man was putting up a good fight, but I could also see that the other guy was starting to weaken him.

Soon, the first man had fallen to the ground, and the man in black looked over at me.

But my eyes got really wide, when all of a sudden, the sun shined on his face, and I could see a pair of hazel eyes.

I backed up a few more feet, but then I started running back the other way.

"Wait!" I could hear him yell.

I ran as fast as I could back to the apartment building, but I turned around to see Frank chasing after me.

"Wait, please!" I heard him yell again.

"Leave me alone, you freak!" I yelled back to him with tears running down my face.

"Please, just listen to me!"

I continued running and finally, I made it to the ladder.

But, when I started to climb up it, I felt a hand grab around my waist and pull me down.

I started to scream, but then I felt another hand cover my mouth.

He turned me around so I was looking at him.

"Let me go!" I yelled trying to get out of his grip.

"Just listen to me, please," he said.

But the moment he loosened his grip, I moved my arm and punched him straight in the nose.

He fell back on to the ground from the impact and covered his nose, while yelling in agony.

"What the heck was that about?! You just broke my nose!"

I backed away from him and ran down the other way and out of the alley.

Then I ran back through the front door and all the way up to my room.
