Best Friend

Kaitlynn's POV:

We finished the movie, and I smiled noticing Emma and Louis. Then she caught my glance, and winked at me and Niall. Everyone else was asleep, and Emma was close too. I was worried about Harry and Jade, but they can handle themselves, and Lou will get a piece of my mind about the 7 minutes in heaven thing. If Emma and him weren't so cute together, ge would be dead meat. I looked at Niall, his arm around my waist, and lie my head down, and within minutes, fell into a dreamless sleep.

I woke up, looked around confused, and remembered we were with the boys. Niall was fast asleep, along with Emma, Lou, and Zayn.

I sniffed the air, and smelled........ PANCAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  

I nudged Niall, "Niaaaaalllll! Food, let's go!" He immediatly jumped up, faster than expected, and knocked me out of balance, and with me, being my clumbsy self, I fell, but Niall caught me. I laughed, and we ambled into the kitchen to find Jade and Harry cooming pancakes and bacon.

I gave Jade a look of, you best be telling me later! (haha.) 

She shook her head yes, and I smiled and fixed myself a heaping plate, with Niall in front.

By the time me and Niall were done with our 3rd plate, Emma, Zayn, and Lou came in the kitchen to eat. No one questioned Harry or Jade, knowing it was a private matter. Zayn seemed quieter than usual, and I suspected he liked Jade too. Geez, that's not good. Yikes!

After I finished, I was handed a note from Niall as he left the kitchen.

It read:

Kaite Poo, 

Everyone seems in a weird mood today, so let's go Thrift Shopping, no, not really, although it would be fun. But let's go to the park on Mainstreet.(A/N: I don't know any streets, m'kay?) 

They have the best icecream shop nearby! Meet me there at noon.

I giggled, and headed upstairs. I put my bags up there yesterday in the guest bedroom. Everyone was watching movie marathons or something, and Niall was gone. I got ready, and put on my 'I ain't even mad bro' shirt on.

I glanced at the time, it was 11:45. I better hurry. I went downstairs, and called "Going to the park, be back later, love you!" to everyone.

I called a friend, Karli, to drive me there. She had to go meet her friends at the movies, so she would drop me off on the way. "Thanks Karles!" I said, getting out of the car. "No prob, go hang out with your little boyfriend." She joked. I gave her a death glare, and walked off, until I burst out laughing myself, I can never be serious.

"Hey Kaitlynn!" Niall called. "Niall! So, what are we going to do today?"

*Afterwords......

We walked a path down a river by the park, and talked nonstop. I felt like I could tell him anything. We arrived back at the park, and we swinged on the swings. He pushed me occasionly, and we ignored the weird looks people were giving us, school was in, so only little kids and older parents were here.

He guided me to a path in the forest behind the river, and there was a small clearing with beautiful flowers draping the sides. He pulled out a picnic basket, and we ate, and talked about, well, just about anything.

It was the perfect day. We came back to the house, and the others questioned us, but I didn't care, today was perfect. Jade and Emma have often asked me about Niall, but all I can say, is that he is my very best friend, besides Jade and Emma of course.

And you can't ever fall in love with your best friend, right ?
