A few months have passed and I was now in the Royal army. Actually, I was one of the commanders, what can I say, I’m good. I have my telepathy under control now and we have figured out that I was also telekinetic, I was still trying to get that one under control but I was getting there.

Right now I was training with Master. He took me on as a personal apprentice or something like that.

“Sorry I’m late Master,” Kaleb said as he came running into the room.

“Don’t let it happen again Prince Kaleb, or you will have to pay the consequences. Hurry you are going to be fighting Mary over here, just go easy on him,” He said to me in passing.

I went over and pulled out one of the swords as he did the same.

“Hey have we met before,” He asked as we were getting ready to fight.

“No, I think I would remember meeting the Prince,” I said as I took my first swing. He was a little slow at blocking it so I took my chance and kicked him hard in the stomach.

He dropped his sword and I hit him with the hilt of my sword on the side of his head. I quickly spun around with my sword but he somehow managed to block the hit just before it hit him. But, with another two swings I had him.

“Not bad your highness, but also not good. I mean come on you’re a vampire where the hell is your speed to block those swings that I was taking. You need to concentrate more on disabling your attacker and not just killing or you’re going to get yourself killed,” I told him as I picked him up.

“Very true Mary, you also have to work on your flexibility and endurance, but don’t worry Mary here is going to help you with all of that,” Master said and then he let us leave.

“Hey do you want to grab some lunch with me?” Kaleb asked me as we left.

“Yeah sure I am just going to have a shower first,” I said.

“Sure we could do that first,” He said with a slight hint of lust showing in his eyes.

“You may be the Prince but I will kick your ass none the less,” I said then headed off to the showers.

I got out of the showers and Kaleb was there waiting for me. He held his arm out for me, so I linked my arm with his and he showed me to lunch. I was a nice lunch, though it really still bothered me that he was sitting across from me drinking human blood.

“So where did you learn to fight like that?” He asked after we were done eating and was just sitting there relaxing.

“My mother had me training ever since I could walk, she didn’t want me to grow up in the middle of a war without being able to defend myself, and I guess it comes in handy. I mean I am a Commander in the Royal army. I get to protect your sorry ass,” I said just trying to toy with him.

“Hey I was doing just fine before you should up,” He said getting a little roweled.

“Oh calm down a little, I am just messing with you. That is another thing that you have to work on. Your emotions will be your downfall, you have to learn how to bottle them up and keep them there. Emotions can make you weak, but some can make you stronger.”

“What category would love fall under?” He asked.

“Now that one is a tricky one. If you are fighting for you love then it can make you stronger, or if you love just died and it is a revenge fight. But, if you love just left you or broke your heart then it will weaken you considerably.”

“Well, that is a charming thought, are you always so happy and cheerful?” he asked in a mocking tone.

“As a matter of fact, I am,” I said with a cheeky grin plastered on my face.

“Prove it, tomorrow night there is going to be a grand ball, I don’t know someone did something and now we have to have a huge boring party. But, it would make it a lot more fun if you would come with me,”

“I would be honoured to accompany you my Prince,” I said adding a little curtsey for added effect.

“Please don’t do that, and call me Kaleb. I will have a dress sent to your room, be ready by six tomorrow night,” he said.

“Yes, your Highness,” I said just to push his buttons a little farther.
