Chapter 3

It was now the morning of waking up to that long night we had yesterday. I woke up Jake like usual on weekdays when we have school. "Wake up" I said shaking Jake trying to get him to wake up. "No I heard with a silent response. Leave me here to die". "Your not going die you are just going to prison, and besides we have jym together today so wake up. "Fine, I'm getting up but you owe me. "What do I owe you" I said sarcastically. "Oh you will see" Jake said worrying me.

We arrived at school with the same routine every morning. Everybody stares at us awkwardly and then we part different ways. No wonder Jake doesn't like going to school, it's always a routine. We were about to part when I thought to myself, well I'm going to change that. Jake was about to say goodbye when I grabbed him and dragged him into the cafeteria. I saw his friends staring at me awkwardly and my friends confused about what is happening. "What are you doing Caroline"? "There is no group with out you or me, so we will drag both of our friend groups to the cafeteria so everyone can stop being so awkward with us". "Fine, but let's just see how your little plan works". In minutes all of our friends came to the cafeteria still confused. I sat down on one end of a table and Jake sat on the other end. Our friends were forced to merge together. Zach sat down next to me, smirking as big as anyone ever did before. "It's not halloween Chucky" I said. "Well it's obviously not World War One anymore because someone had the nerve to change that". I smiled at his comment. I looked around to see everyone start to talk. Finally I said to myself.

"Finally, I heard Jake said to his friends. It's the end of the day which means jym class". I turn to face my friends that were staring at me awkwardly. "What" I said. "Nothing" my friend Dani said. Our coach arrived and said to get changed quickly and that we are going outside today to play dodgeball. Everybody changed into their jym uniform and went outside. "Jake and Zach, you guys are captains" our coach said to us. Jake picked first and he chose Alex. Then Zach chose Kyle, and so on. It was Jakes turn to pick someone and I thought he would choose me but he chose my friend Dani. "Caroline" Zach said picking me. I smiled at him. "Thanks I said with a smile. "No problem".

We started our game of dodgeball and I have to say Zach looked cute playing. "Here" someone said to me awakening me up from my day dream". "Kyle I said startled. Thanks". "No problem". I got the ball and ran to the front. I stared at Jake who payed no attention to me. This one is for not picking me I murmured and threw the ball at Jake. "Yes" I screamed when I hit Jake in the shoulder. Everyone was cheering for me. Jake looked at me surprised and I smirked at him back.

"Okay so look guys, if it starts pouring rain we are all going to yell jail brake and run inside the shelter". Everyone shook their heads and continued playing on with the game. Five minutes later, it started pouring not as we expected and everyone did as we were told before and yelled "Jail Brake"in unison. Everyone sprinted to the shelter and that's when I saw Jake with a smirk on his face walking up to me. "Remember when I said you owe me, well bows the time". I stared at him blankly. All of the sudden, he threw me up on his shoulder and ran into the rain. "Put me down" I said slapping him in the arm. I looked back at the shelter to see everybody dying of laughter. After a while he ran back into the shelter and put me down. "Ohhhhh Jake, you better sleep with one eye open tonight" I said leaving without another word.

"What's wrong with you to" my mom said staring at me and Jake blankly. "Sorry" Jake and I said giggling. We walked into the car socking wet from jym. "I'm going to start packing you guys a towel" she said being seriously. Jake and I look at each other trying not to laugh our butts off.

When we got home we went to our room and Jake faced timed Zach. "Hey" I heard them both say to each other. "Hi" I said peeking into the camera. "Ohh yeah, I'm still getting use to the fact you to live together" Zach said giggling. Aww his giggle is so cute. "Hey Caroline I'm going to the bathroom can you talk to Zach for a minute"? Sure I nodded. "Hey Zach". "Hey Caroline. There was a silents for a while. Ummm Caroline what are you doing Friday"? "Are you asking me out" I said sarcastically. "No a group of friends are going to the mall including Jake, are you in"? "Sure, but just so you know I probably didn't have a choice anyway". "Cool".

"Time for bed" I screamed at Jake who was showering in the bathroom. "I'm coming out now" I heard him scream. He walked into our room and went towards his closet side to put on clothes. When he was done he crawled into his bed. "Goodnight" I said. "Goodnight".

I had an idea to not wake up Jake at all to let him see what would happen if I wasn't there to wake him up. Time flew by as u was watching poor little Jake sleep on his bed. There was about five more minutes till we had to leave so I ran into the kitchen, got a bowl of water and poured it on Jake. "Caroline, what was that for" Jake said hissing at me. "There you showered now all you need to do is slip on your clothes and brush your teeth". "What do you mean"? "It means you have five minutes to do everything you need to do". "Caroline why didn't you wake me up earlier"? I turned to him and smirked. "Ohhhhh".
