My new stepbrother

Chapter 6

Today was my first official day with my new step brothers. I was going to summer camp with them while Jake was at home with his dad probably just watching tv. It's so unfair. I walked in and saw Henry. I ran over. "Hey Henry". "Oh hey Caroline" he said. "You know I'm going home with you later right" I said. "Don't tell me about" I rolled my eyes. I turned my eyes and saw my friends in a corner sitting down. I walked over to them and sat down. "Hey Caroline" my friend Brianna said jumping on me. "Hey Brianna". One by one I was saying hello to everyone of them. We sat down and played Uno in a circle when I got a call. Jake is calling my phone said. I answered the phone on speaker so the girls can hear my brother. "Hey Car" he said. "Hey Jake". "How's your brothers?" "Brothers" my friends screamed in unison. "Not the best time"he said. "I'll call you back later" "bye."

"Who are your brothers" my friend Lucy said to me. "Henry and Louis" I muttered. "Who" Hannah said. "Henry and Louis". "What" they all said. I sat there for an hour explaining over and over again the situation.

I felt something on my shoulder. When I turned around I saw Louis. "Your coming home with me and Henry later" he said. "I know" I said. "Whatever" he said then walked away. I took out my phone and texted Jake.

Caroline: not that good :(

Jake: sorry

I jumped into to Louise's car. The whole car ride was silent. Every now and then we will try breaking the silence but it didn't work. I sat there looking down at my phone waiting for a text message. When I felt my phone vibrate I looked down to see who it was.

Zach: hey

Caroline: OMG thank god you texted me in stuck in a car bored and it's sooooo awkward

Zach: why don't you just say something

Caroline: say something I'm giving up on you ;)

Zach: you can give up on them but not on me

Caroline: never

Henry snatched my phone out of my hand randomly. "Give it back" I yelled at him. He stuck out his tongue at me. "Seriously give me back my phone, it's not funny". "Yes it is" he said slowly clearly out of breath. "Give her back her phone" Louis said. Henry put up his hands in surrender.

When we arrived they told me that my room in to my right. When I walked into my room I threw my stuff down and FaceTimed Jake. He wasn't answering so I FaceTimed Zach instead. "Hey" he said into the phone. "Hi". "Where are you" he asked me. I'm in my new room with the 2nd fam" I said. "Oh". "I'm bored" I whined. "Im gonna take you out" he said. "What"? "Yea, why not it's better then being stuck here" he said. We ended the call and I started getting dressed. I wore a Blue top with black leggings and applied makeup. I curled my hair and slipped on black shoes.

*ding dong* I heard the front door open. "Who are you" the guy asked. "I'm here to pick up Caroline" I'm guessing Zach said. "Caroline, it's for you" the voice screamed. I walked to the front door and quickly jumped out and gave Zach a hug. "You have to bring your girlfriend back at my house at 10:00" my brother Louis said. "He's not my boyfriend" I poured to Louis who wouldn't let me be free. "Whatever" he said them closing the door.

"So where are we going" I smiled at Zach. "The movies the watch something scary so you can hold me to protect you" he said teasing me. I have always hated watching scary movies.

We arrived at the movie theater and he told me that we were going to watch Daddy's home. "What do you mean that not a scary movie" I said to him. "I know but I don't want you to get scared so I decided on a comedy" he said. I kissed him on the cheek and then walked over to the ticket booth.

Zach was buying our thickets while I was getting he food. I good a medium popcorn, a water with 2 small cups and twizlers to share.

Zach and I took our seats in the back row. The movie was going to start in 5 minutes. We were watching all the previews for trailers.

The movie finally started for why's seemed like forever. While the movie was playing Zach threw is some jokes. I didn't even notice that he had his arm around my shoulder. I slowly layer my head on his chest without making it awkward. Zach started playing with my hair which made me sleepy. I was woken by a sound in my ear. "See, no matter what it is I will always protect you" he whispered. I looked up into his blue eyes and leaned in for a kiss. Our lips moved in sync and it felt like we were the only people there. When we finally broke apart I Kaye's back on his chest and he continued playing with my hair.

The movie was over now and We still had 2 hours to spare so we just started walking around the outlet mall in which the movies were in. We walked shoulder to shoulder with his arm around me shoulder and my arm around his chest. I wish time would have stopped because I never want this feeling to go away. There was no one else I would have rather be next to me right now. I never wanted to let go. But all the sudden he lifted my over his back as he continued walking. I kissed his cheek a few times.

As we were walking Zach just stopped. I looked up and saw Jake standing there with a girl with him. I couldn't comprehend who she was until I remixed that she was Sofia. The girl who used to go out with Jake. I turned to Jake and eyed him for an explanation but he just eyed me back the same way. "I wanted Sofia to explain herself so I said that we could hang out tonight" he fired at me. "I tried getting ahold of you but you didn't answer so I called Zach" I fired back at him. "This isn't awkward at all" Sofia said.

I pulled jake a side to talk to him privately. "Why her out of all the girls" I asked him. "Because maybe I still like her a little and I missed hanging out with her" he said. "but she cheated on you with Zach". "Then why are you with him right now do you want to be back stabbed" he said to me. "I am with him because I like being around him and you do to that's why you guys remained friends after all of this with Sofia" I said. "I can't do this right now" jake said walking away from me. "When would you be able to" I yelled back drawing attention to me. I stumped back to Zach. "Can I go home now" I asked Zach. He nodded and we started walking to his car.

When we arrived back I felt the need to apologize to Zach because he did nothing wrong. "Zach" I said. "Yea" he answered. "I'm sorry I was just really irritated with Jake and so I am sorry for ruining your night" I said asking for forgiveness. "Caroline, you didn't ruin my night, you made it a whole lot better" he said. I leaned my head against his chest for a couple of minutes and then he walked me to my door step. We stopped at the door when he gave me a good night kiss. When we broke apart all I could see was his blue eyes staring at me again. I quickly leaned in again. His lips were warm and soft and our kiss felt magical. I knew that no matter what it was Zach would always have my back through it all.

I rang the doorbell and quickly Louis opened the door. "Right on time" he said to Zach. I hugged Zach one more Time before walking to my room. Is worked through all the photos of Zach and I before I feel asleep.
