Chapter 40: I hate you

  "You ready?" Caspar asked.
"No!" I yelled
"Come on." He way his hand to the bathroom.
He was wearing a nice button up and pajama pants. You can guess what's about to happen.
"Go on get in." He said with a huge smile.
"I can't believe you convinced me to do this."
"Fin it's not that bad."
"Don't fuck with me."
"Welcome to brain freeze!..." Caspar says.
"Mrs.lee are you ready?"
"Go!" I yelled.
"In 1927, what adventurous-"

"My bad fin."
"In 1927, what adventurous 25 year old man was the first time magazine person if the year?"

"You love me." He laughed.
"Your so mean." Joe says.
"You got this fin!" Veronica cheered.
"The hell would I know!?"
"5 seconds." Caspar says.
"Mary Joe! I don't know." Caspar fell off the toilet laughing.
"That's not funny!" Joe says.

"Bloody hell Caspar!"
"Come on!" Veronica cheered.

"Ding ding ding!" I got out shaking. Veronica coated me in aluminum foil. I was on top of the covers and Caspar laid next to me.
"You did a good job."
"It's so cold."
"That's the point." He moved a piece of hair out of my face.
"Can we do the outtro?"
"Yeah." I stand up. Veronica is taking a picture.
"What are you doing?!" Caspar jokes.
"Goals." She said. I laugh.
"Your next." I point.
"Marriage or brain freeze?!"
"Both!" She laughed. Caspar set his camera up and I sat down next to him.
"How was it?" He asks.
"Don't even start." I say.
"Want a hug?"
"Your lucky I love you."
"Awe I love you too fin." We hugged. A fake hug.

We ended the video and while Caspar was editing it I was cleaning the house.
"What are you doing?" Caspar asked as he walked down stairs.
"Hadley comes home tomorrow, I am not letting her come home to a dirty house." I wiped down the pantry door handle.
"Your being a mother and I get that, but she'll be ok." He took my by the shoulders.
"I don't want to risk it."
"Fin,Look at me, she will be ok, I promise."
"You promise?"
"Promise, let's go see her." He says. I smiled and we got in the car and drove to the hospital. We walked I tot he NICU. She was off oxygen but still had a feeding tube. They were going to take it out tonight after we left.
"She's gained 6 pounds." Our nurse says. (I don't know how to convert pounds to whatever they use. Deal with it.)
"Hey Hads." I look her hand as she slept. She smiled.
"Can I hold her?" Caspar asked.
"Absolutely." We put a robe on and washed out hands again. I wasn't going to risk it. Caspar held her. Our nurse graver him her bottle and he fed her.
"I brought and outfit for her when we take her horn tomorrow." I say to Kelley, our nurse.
"That's darling." She takes it and puts it by her diapers.
"She's such a joy, always smiling and laughing."
"That's my girl." Caspar kissed her forehead.
"How are your fans taking this?"
"Very supportive." I say as I took off my jacket.
"Honey your cold, put it back on." Caspar says.
"I just don't want to wear it."
"Have you been shaking?" The nurse asks.
"Little bit, why?"
"Let me check your temperature." He takes a thermometer out of her pocket and cleans it before putting it in my mouth.
"I think you may have hypothermia." She says.
"Caspar!" I slightly yelled. He ignored me.
"Have you been outside lately?" She asks.
"No, put I filmed with Caspar." She glares at me.
"What did you do?" She asked. Caspar has a big grin.
"Brain freeze." He says.
"Don't let him talk you into that Finley!" She says. I laughed.
"I do regret it."
"My subs don't." Caspar adds. I didn't laugh but he did.
"Poor girl, must have been traumatizing." I laughed.
"Definitely was."
"Ok I know you want to stay and play with Hadley, but you need to go home, have a nice cup of tea, maybe a nice warm bath and take it easy." She says.
"Warm bath." I say to Caspar.
"Yes." She takes Hadley from caspars arms and puts her back in her incubator.
"She'll be waiting for you two in the morning."
"Goodnight." I kissed her hand and we left. We would have stayed all night is we could.
