Ritsu wakes up in the konoha hospital. She lies on the bed and turns to her right. She sees kakashi sleeping sitting in the chair. She smiles and looks at kakashi intensely. She then sits up and hugs kakashi gently. Kakashi wakes up by this.
Kakashi: oh you’re awake.
Ritsu:[thinking] this time, this time, I’ll tell him my feelings.
Kakashi: you feeling better?
Ritsu: yup.
At this moment, hanare walks in.
Hanare: you done hugging? He’s with me now.
Ritsu: oh…[depressed] I’m sorry.
Ritsu releases her grip on kakashi and backs away. Kakashi clenches his fists as ritsu backs away. He wanted to grab onto her longer. Shizune walks in.
Shizune: how are you feeling?
Ritsu: fine I guess.
Shizune: then you’re free to go, don’t occupy my beds.[jokingly]
Kakashi, hanare and ritsu leaves the hospital together. Hanare grabs onto kakashi’s arm with bith hands leaning closer to him.
Ritsu: I’ll go home then, I shan’t disturb you guys.
Kakashi: you sure?
Ritsu: mind your own business.
But actually, kakashi wants to stay with ritsu a little longer. Ritsu walks away leaving the couple behind. Instead of heading home, ritsu heads to the sake bar.
Ritsu: a dozen!
minjo[Shop owner]: what happened? Who made my favourite customer so sad?
Ritsu: just pass me the sake. I’m taking home.
Minjo: I won’t force you if you don’t want to tell me. But remember, happiness is your choice.
Ritsu:[picks up the plastic bag, and leaves] put it on tab! Thanks for your advice!
At this moment, gai was standing outside.
Ritsu: gai?
Gai: I’ve been looking for you after I’ve heard you were being discharged.
Ritsu: what? Couldn’t stop minding your own business?
Gai: please! Accept me again.
Ritsu: do whatever you like.
Gai: so it’s a yes?
Ritsu: if you wish it to be.
Gai: after such a long wait! I’m so touched!
Ritsu: whatever, just leave me alone to go home.
Gai: alright then. Please be careful![happily]
Ritsu walks up the stairs with heavy footsteps. She unlocks her door and walks in. she spots her landlady sitting inside.
Larza: you’re back home! I made something nutritious for you.
Ritsu: oh… thanks. I’ll drink it later.
She heads back to her room and bangs the door behind her. She sits leaning her bed and throws the cap towards the wall and starts drinking. Larza knocks onto her door.
Larza: are you ok my dear?
Ritsu: leave me alone.
Larza ignores what ritsu says and unlocks he door with a key.
Larza: what happened?
Ritsu lunges forward and hugs her. She tears quietly with no sound of crying at all.
Larza: poor girl.
Ritsu: he has another woman. It’s not his fault. It’s all my fault, I made him wait too long. Now, he’s gone.
larza:poor thing.
ritsu:And... I think I did something really horrible. I …I gave someone else false hope. Maybe I just wanted to try to fill my heart with something else. What should I do?
Larza: poor girl, you’re suffering. I know you want to try to fill your heart with gai, but that won’t work. It will just hurt you more. I know you too well.
ritsu: I...just answered him randomly...
larza: Plus, gai never understood you as well as kakashi did. Trying to fill your heart with someone who doesn’t really understand you. Is that what you want?
Ritsu: I don’t know. Don’t ask me.[she hugs larza tightly]
