Kakashi lies in the one of the beds in the konoha hospital. He has been there for about 3 days already. Sitting right beside him was hanare.
Hanare: want any water?
Kakashi: it’s fine.
Ritsu walks through the door holding a book.
Ritsu: hi my best friend kakashi, how are you doing?
Kakashi: fine.
Ritsu: here’s a book. I know you prefer your own dirty novels, but you can try this. Yamato says it’s nice.
Kakashi: alright then, if you say so.
A nurse walks in with a clipboard in his hands.
Nurse: kakashi hatake?
Kakashi: yes?
Nurse: you seem fine, you can be discharged tomorrow. You’re basically fine, just need another day’s observation.
Kakashi: ok.
The nurse leaves the room as kakashi was her last patient.
Ritsu: want to drink? Remember the last time I sneaked out to drink and got a scolding from shizune?
Kakashi: hahaha…yeah, you were force to stay 1 more day because of that.
Ritsu: and it was all your fault, you started talking about it and made me crave for it.
Kakashi: so it’s my fault now.
Ritsu: bleh! [sticks her tongue out] you are going to pay back my go drinking with me now.
Hanare: stop it! You were the one who stabbed his abdomen! Don’t you feel guilty at all?! And now you want to bring him to drink with you?! What’s wrong with you?!
Kakashi:[ looks at hanare with a serious face] stop it. It’s my choice whether I go or not.
Hanare: I don’t get it. I’m prettier than her, less reckless than her, more mature than her. Why choose her?
Kakashi: only people who don’t know her would say she is reckless. She’s not reckless it’s just how she protects people she care about.
Hanare: she’s cursed! She’ll bring danger to the people close to her.
Kakashi: she’s not cursed. There is no such thing as a cursed fate.
Kakashi leaves his bed, walks past hanare and goes to ritsu’s side. He holds onto ritsu’s wrist and leave the room. Hanare cries seeing kakashi’s back leave with another woman.
Kakashi and ritsu have left the hospital. Ritsu shrugs his hands off.
Ritsu: I feel bad, I’ve hurt hanare.
Kakashi: it’s ok I’ve told her from the start she would get hurt. She just didn’t want to listen and was stubborn.
Ritsu: I don’t know, I’m going to get some sake.
Ritsu walks ahead of kakashi . Eventually, they reach the sake store. Ritsu buys a dozen bottles of sake and leaves the store.
Ritsu: let’s go.
Kakashi: go where?
Ritsu leads him to a cave, where within the cave it leads to another place. A beautiful place where there are small little animals and a cottage would be under the biggest sakura tree.
Kakashi: your favourite little paradise?
Ritsu: yup.
They both sit on the soft carpeting grass.
Ritsu: I don’t have much to give you, so I decided that you can be a VIP of this place.
Kakashi: a VIP? Wasn’t I already one when I constantly help you to feed your small little animals?
Ritsu: hey! That doesn’t count, you were a…hmmm… a servant. Now you’re a VIP.
Kakashi: hahaha… you’re so cute.
Suddenly a dog pounces onto ritsu’s back causing her to unbalance and fall onto kakashi’s chest by accident. They both blush as their eyes met. The dog licks ritsu’s face. Ritsu backs away from kakashi.
Ritsu:[still blushing] I’m sorry.
Kakashi: it’s ok. I guess I should make a move.
Kakashi stands up and leave, he turns around at is about to head to the exit when ritsu suddenly hugs him from behind.
Ritsu: please don’t go. I know I’m a very bad girl. I shouldn’t have hurt gai by giving him false hopes. But… I really love you, and need you. Those who are precious to me are gone, please stay by my side.
Kakashi: ritsu….[ turns around and pats on her head like a child] I promise.
