An Unexpected Adventure (LARRY STYLINSON)

CHAPTER 43

It has been a couple days since Sandy gave birth to the twins and she is wondering when they will be able to come home. Dr. White comes in to check on her and Sandy asks about the babies, Dr. White tells her that the babies were born almost 2 months early but they are doing really good and it will be probably be 2-3 weeks before they can leave the hospital. At that time, Dr. Cryer, the babies doctor came in to talk to Sandy and George about the babies and tell them about the progress the babies are making at this time. He tells them the babies were a little bigger than they originally thought when they did the last ultrasound. Dr. Cryer tells them when babies are born almost 2 months early, they usually only weight a couple of pounds a piece, but your babies weighed right at 4 1/2 pounds a piece. If she would have carried them a couple of weeks longer, they probably would have weigh around 6 or more pounds, and if she was to carry them to term, they probably would have been close to 10 or more pounds a piece. Sandy tells him that her two previous pregnancies the oldest one weigh 6 lbs. 9 oz. and the second one weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz., he asked how big are they now. She looks at him with tears in her eyes and tells him that when they died last year the oldest one weighed roughly 380 lbs. and the younger one weighed roughly 165 lbs. Dr. Cryer asks if she has ever been diagnosed with diabetes of any kind and she tell him no.

Sandy then asks him when she will be able to take them home with her and he tells her that she should be able to take them home with her in about a week. Dr. Cryer tells her that for as early as they were born, they are both quite healthy and they are really not needed any kind of external breathing help. George asks when they will be able to travel and Dr. Cryer asks why would they need to travel any time soon. Sandy tells him that she is going to be heading home back to the United States in less than a month because she will be getting ready to host a wedding. She tells him that she has a home in the states and she is going to be heading back there. She has been planning a wedding for the godparents for the babies and the wedding is in July and she needs to get home to make sure everything is done. She was having a guest house built and she needs to go back home and check to make sure it was done to her request. Dr. Cryer tells them that the babies can travel around the middle of June and it will be safe for them then.

Both of the doctors have left and it is just George and Sandy left in the room, George asks her if she wants to go see the babies and she says she does. Just as George is getting ready to put her in a wheelchair to take her to go see them, she asks him if when they get back if she could talk to him about something that would affect both of them. He is nervous and tells her that would be fine, but if she wanted to they could go ahead and talk before and she tells him no she wants to go she their babies now, they head to the NICU. Sandy gets to hold them and gets to try and breastfeed them and both the babies take to it really quick; both babies are now sleeping and are full, so George and Sandy head back to her room. As they get closer, George is nervous because he is afraid that she wants to break up with him and he don't want that to happen.

Sandy gets back in bed and she asks him to come and cuddle with her, so he crawls in bed with her and asks what did she want to talk to him about. She tells him that what she is going to be telling him is something she has been thinking about for a while but she didn't want to breach the subject until she had the babies. Sandy goes on to tell him that this will affect him so she wanted to get his opinion on it before she talked to the other people that this affects. George looks at her and asks her to just tell him what it is and she tells him she was wondering what he thought about her being a surrogate for someone else. He looks at her and asks who was thinking of being a surrogate for and she tells him that she was thinking of being one for Harry and Louis. It would be their sperm but it would be her eggs that would be used. Once they got back from the states and their wedding she would get some of her eggs harvested and if they decide they could use her eggs and she would carry the baby for them. Sandy tells George it would be a least a year before she would be ready to even be ready to carry any more babies but she wanted to get his reaction to the possibility of it. George tells her that it is her body and she can do what she wants, she tells him it affects him too because he couldn't get her pregnant anytime soon. He tells her that he is happy to have the two wonderful babies they have now and he really don't think that he would want any more. Sandy asks him if he was sure about the decision about her being their surrogate and he tells her that he loved seeing her that way and he just don't think he wants her to have any more for them, but if she wanted to have babies for them she should go for it.

Sandy asks if she could use his phone so she can call them and see if they can come up because she would like to speak to them about it. George hands her his phone and tells her that he loves her and she is one of the kindest persons he has ever known. He tells her that he has never known someone to just pop up and do something like for people she has only know for less than a year. She tells him she knows that they can't have them on their own and she has heard them talking about having their own one day. And she tells George that this would be a perfect opportunity for them to have their own babies that would be part of them and not have to use a stranger. George comes up and gives her a big hug and gives her a very passionate kiss. Once they pull away from each other, she calls Harry and asks if him and Louis could come up to the hospital she would like to talk to them about something very important and this is even more important then them being the babies godparents. Harry tells her they will be up there in about an hour and they hang up. George asks what he said and she tells him that they will be up here in an hour. He crawls up beside her and cuddles with her, muttering how much he loves her.
