Chapter Three

Mitch's pov

I woke up alone, on the bed of furs and blankets. I sat up, looking around. Jerome sat at the entrance to the cave, starring into the sky. It was dark, and the sky was cloudy with grey clouds. I only just realized that it was snowing. I smiled slightly, remembering when I was young, and I would play out side in the snow with my mom. My smile dropped, that would never happen again. Tears threatened to spill as I starred at my red hood. A few fell, one after another. I tried being quiet, but failed miserably. Jerome glanced over his shoulder. I avoided eye contact, simply looking down. He sighed and got up, walking over. I flinched and scooted away from him when he got near. He stopped and growled lowly. I flinched again, crying a little harder. He went silent and sat beside me. "What's wrong, Mitchy?" Anger instantly replaced the fear, "Stop calling me that!" He seemed surprised by my outburst. I continued, "And why am I even here!? Why did you suddenly want me!? W...Why not just KILL ME!?" His eyes narrowed. I didn't have the sense to stop, "You're just a monster! That's all you do, kill innocent people! So why not kill me!? What makes me different!?" His eye twitched. "You are just a monster, that's ALL you'll ever be!" His eyes turned a darker shade of red, "I'm just a monster. You want to die so badly, fine." His calm voice and glowing red eyes made all the fear come back. He stood up, and stepped back. "Time to show you what a monster really is." Jerome's body shifted. Bones snapping in different places, skin stretching. It was like it was just out of a horror movie. One moment, he was a humanoid wolf. The next. A giant oversized...horrifying wolf...with snapping jaws filled with sharp teeth, a glowing red eyes. I....messed up...badly
