Our History

Championship point na para sa Ateneo pero nahabol sila ng La Salle. Humingi ng time out ang Ateneo.

"Guys, kulang tayo ng attack, so magfocus tayo sa defense lalo na sa floor defense. Kaya natin 'to." Ara said to her teammates. Kita mo sa bawat isa ang pagod, kaba at saya. Alyssa did her best to stand up and joined the group. Ara saw her struggling to stand. She lent her hand to Ly. Alyssa is holding at Ara's shoulder and waist for the support. And Ara made sure na komportable na ang miss na miss na niyang pinakamamahal.

Time out done. Inalalayan ni Ara na makabalik sa upuan si Alyssa. "I love you." Bulong ni Alyssa sa kanya.

But Ara in no response then she ran back into the court.

It's a championship point again for Ateneo. It was a long rally. It was almost an ace for La Salle but Denden managed to save the ball. Ara was at the backrow. She set the ball for Ara and she hit it as hard as she could.

IT WAS THEIR HISTORY. ATENEO WON!

Everybody's in tears of joy. Ara find her way to the coach and ask her permission to leave now. Ayaw pa man sana ng coach pero inintindi na lang niya ito. Nobody noticed the exiting Arabella except Amy.

Amy ran towards Ara. "Hey! Where are you going?"

"In the hospital. So sorry Amy. Pakisabi na lang sa kanila."

After the awarding ceremony, the four girls decided to go straight to the hospital. They saw Ara sitting outside of the room.

"Finals MVP goes to.....Arabella Gomez!" Amy said as she putting the gold medal and lending the trophy to Ara. "MVP din ang girlfriend mo syempre."dagdag niya pa dito sabay akbay kay Alyssa.

Ara just smiled. Denden in an awkward move. Alyssa just staring her.

"Den, Amy, would you mind to join me have a coffee downstairs?" Ella asked the two. Sumunod nanan ang mga ito.

Ly left sitting on one of the chairs outside the room, next to Ara.

Di rin nakatiis ang huli, "how are you? Nagpatingin ka na sa doctor?"

"U-umm. Dumaan na kami bago kami pumunta dito. Konting pahinga lang 'to." She said with a smile. "Ikaw, kumusta ka?"

"Ok lang naman." Maikling sagot nito.

Alyssa gently grabbed Ara's hand. "Hon, sorry."

"Enough saying sorry. Alam ko na ang totoong nangyari and I don't want to keep on hearing or talking about that. What important is now."
She faced Alyssa and met her gaze. "I missed you." she planted a kiss on her cheek, near to her lips. Then she hugged her.

"Victory party natin bukas ng gabi together with the mens team." Alyssa informed Ara.

"Is it? I'm not sure if I can make it. Chemo ni tatay bukas eh." Malungkot na tugon nito.

Three days passed, training na naman ng Ateneo Lady Eagles for the upcoming Shakey's V-League. All the ladies are at the gym already.

"Hi babe."

Amy, Denden and Ella looked at the guy who had just greeted Alyssa and kissed her cheek. Nagulat naman ang huli.

"Hi ladies. I'm Walter, congrats nga pala sa inyo." He also greeted the three. Then she turned to Alyssa. "Mom is inviting you pala for a dinner tonight. Sunduin kita sa dorm mo ha." But before Alyssa could answer, he kissed her again, and now on her lips. A quick kiss na lalong ikinagulat ng tatlo. Then he exited already.

"VALDEZ!!! WHAT WAS THAT???!!!" Amy in burst.

"What's happening to you, Ly? Kakatapos niyo pa lang magkaayos ni Ara and yet another trouble na naman?!" Si Denden.

Not so far from them, Ara is standing at the nook of the bench. Cleared enough to hear what were just said. Cleared enough to see what had happened.

"Ara?" The shocked Ella uttered. Napatingin naman ang tatlo sa direksiyon ng mga mata nito.

Agad na lumapit si Alyssa. Nanatiling nakatayo na parang istatwa si Ara. "Ara, please, let me explain."

"Again?! Explain again?!" She said. "Kelan pa Alyssa? Kelan mo pa ako niloloko?! Ito na lang ba ang alam mong gawin sa akin, ang lokohin ako ng paulit-ulit?!" Umiiyak na ito.

"Ara, it's not what you think, please believe me." Umiiyak na rin si Alyssa.

"Then what?!" Ara yelled at her unintentionally.

"Nanliligaw siya nuon. Then last victory party, he approached me. I said yes to him accidentaly. Please honey, maniwala ka sa akin."

"Accidentally?!" Nanggagalaiti na si Ara sa galit.

"I was drunk!" Alyssa wiped her tears.

"Lasing ka na naman! Sa susunod ano, lasing ka ulit?! Alyssa, ilang beses pa ba, ha?! Ano bang nagawa ko sa'yo para saktan mo ako ng ganito. Minahal lang naman kita. Minahal ng buong tapat! May mali ba dun?!" Humahagulgol na ito.

Alyssa keep on shaking her head. "No honey, no. Walang mali dun. Ako ang nagkamali sa di sinasadyang paraan but please bigyan mo ako ng pagkakataong ayusin ang pagkakamaling nagawa ko."

"I can't believe you, Ly!" She turned back but Alyssa too quick to pace her.

"Please Arabella, don't do this to me. Mahal kita. Ikaw ang mahal ko. Hindi ko na kakayanin pang maulit ang nangyari nun."

"Sana naisip mo yan nung gabing yun!" Ara in low but hard voice.

"I'm sorry. Aayusin ko 'to, please 'wag mo ako iwan. Please!"

"You hurt me once, I swallowed it. You hurt me again. This will be the last Alyssa Valdez. I won't ever let you hurt me again." She grabbed Aly's hand, opened her palm and handed the ring she gave her on their first month anniversary. Then, she walked away.

Alyssa knew that Ara is really mad. Mentioning her whole name? That is Arabella whenever she is really mad.

The three girls walked near to her. Pagalitan o sermonan man nila ang kaibigan ngayon, mas nangibabaw ang awa nila para sa dalawa. They just let her cried.

"This time, ako naman susubok na gawan ng solusyon 'to. Mas malala 'to but I will try, though I am not promising you na magsucceed ako Valdez!" Si Ella.

Two weeks later, sinadya ni Ara na pumunta sa Ateneo gym. Kakatapos lang ng practice nila nang dumating siya. Mabigat ang mga hakbang niyang lumapit sa grupo. Natuwa naman ang lahat na makita nila ito dito pero nagtataka din sila kung bakit hindi nakasuot ng uniporme nila. Amy stood up and approached her.

"What happened? You lose weight." Amy noticed.

"Coach, gusto ko ho sana kayong makausap." Si Ara.

Iginiya ng coach si Ara sa may dulo ng bench. "What is it Ara? Nangayayat ka a, okay ka lang?"

Tumango lang ang huli. Pagkatapos nilang mag-usap, niyakap niya ang coach at sinimulan na niyang humakbang papalabas. Sinikap niyang huwag tumulo mga luha niya habang nakayuko siyang dumaan sa harapan ng mga kateam niya. Nagtaka ang mga kaibigan niya ng lumagpas na siya't di man lang lumingon ito. Pero di naman lingid sa kanila ang pagyugyog ng balikat nito pagkadaan sa kanila, humahagulgol na.

"Coach? Ano po'ng nangyari?" Tanong ni Alyssa.

Coach looked at them. Maging siya ay nalulungkot sa naging desisyon ni Ara. He took a deep sigh. "She will be transferring to another school by next semester. Hindi na siya mag-aaral dito. Hindi na siya maglalaro para sa Ateneo. We just lost our own Atomic Bomb Player. One of the best players of all the universities. We had just lost one Arabella Gomez in our team."

Lahat napatulala at natahimik sa gulat. "No. This can't be.! Alyssa in disbelief, she get up and ran outside, hoping that she can still catch her. But no sign of Arabella Gomez around anymore. Alyssa bend down, "Araaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!" And she couldn't hold back her tears anymore.

"Saan daw po siya lilipat?" Tanong ni Ella.

"She didn't say." Their coach replied.

All were in disbelief. All were in silence.
