It's been almost a year since Eric was born and Byakuya loved his family including the annoying twins, that still loved to pull pranks on people. "Daddy!" Both girls said in unison, which they did quite often "No!" Came Byakuya's response "but daddy you don't know what we want to ask" the twins whined, "oh but I do and the answer remains a no!" He replied not looking away from the never ending paper work, that was piled high on his office desk.
"Daddy if you let us ask the question" Skye started and Sadie finished "maybe we will tell you what we did with your: scarf thing, your favourite pen, your notebook and..." They both finished the sentence in unison once again "perhaps we shall not prank anyone, for a full 24hrs" they both giggled.
The great Captain Kuchiki looked dumb founded, when he realised he was trying to fill paper work without his pen, checking the schedule with a missing notebook and that his silk scarf wasn't around his neck. As you have probably guessed he's extremely tired and the fact that Eric was unwell and kept waking up every so often throughout the night and that he was yelled awake
*Flash back*
Captain clown features burst into his home and started yelling, which not only created a tired and grumpy Byakuya but an even grumpier and death glaring you. With little to no sleep you yelled "oi clown features what the hell? You don't barge into someone else's home waking everyone up at barely the crack of dawn! What the hell do you want?" You growled. Realising his mistake he quickly shut up, "Well.. Don't keep me waiting?" You seethed, "I apologise Mrs Kuchiki, but your daughters have taken a very important piece of my invention that could help everyone" he replied being much calmer than he was. "I see, I'm sure it can wait until a reasonable time.. I'm sure? The girls will be dealt with at the same time! Got it now go away!" You spoke getting angrier by the second as Eric woke up crying due to the shouting.
The intruding captain sighed knowing he wouldn't win this dispute, nodded and left. "For goodness sake! I literally just got him to sleep" You raged, "My dear wife I shall sort our son out, you get some rest" he finished by placing a tender kiss on your forehead. You couldn't help but crack a smile even in your grumpy state, at your husbands soft side and merely hummed and nodded in response.
*End of flashback*
Unfortunately Eric didn't settle or go to sleep as easily as Byakuya would've liked. "Skye, Sadie please just give me my things back!" He asked calmly but firmly. "Hey Captain" Renji called as he waltzed into the room without knocking, adding to Byakuya's bad mood, but restrained himself from being angry as it was his office as well. "Hey Uncle Pinkie" the twins chimed "what? Pinkie?" Renji responded with shock "Yep" was all the girls said in unison as per normal.
By this point Captain Kuchiki has had enough, with the twins constant pranks. Yes everybody was used to them, some soul reapers were even started to expect it, but this past week they were getting worse, all because he wouldn't listen to them. Well that was his theory, so to get all this to stop Byakuya would humour them and listen to their request. "What do you want Skye and Sadie?" His voice wavered a little under tiredness and stress. The twins faces lit up at the thought of being listened too and they could finally ask the question.
"Daddy.... As you know" Skye started "we are big girls now" Sadie continued "So would you let us start training... Pleassse!" The said together Renji chuckled, Byakuya's facial expression never changed as he was expecting them to ask this. The moment he caught both girls trying to secretly train behind his back, which was when Sadie got herself a small injury (twisted her wrist) but of course she never told anyone how she did it. Thus Byakuya kept saying no and was reluctant.
Will Captain Byakuya change his mind or stand his ground?
