Byakuya looked at his for once quiet, impatient looking twins as they awaited his answer. The Captain let out a sigh before speaking "If I allow you both to train it will be on my conditions, no arguments, whining, nothing, you both hear me?" He finished before collecting his missing belongings.
"I will call you both in a little while to discuss my final answer. Now leave please girls" as sat down at his desk, Skye spoke up after a whisper argument between her and Sadie "Father" at this Byakuya lifted his tired head up and gave her his undivided attention, as his mischievous twins only called him father when they were scheming something or wanted something. "Can we... er... still prank till you answer us?" Skye asked as innocently as she could as though it was the most casual question she was asking.
Their father's face tried its best not to twist into amusement, but on the inside he was laughing to his response, knowing it was going to strain the girls. "No" he answered trying not to smirk at both girls faces, it was a face of horror and annoyance. "If you both want me to give in, you've both got to be on your best behaviour until the decision time arises. To prove you can be serious as well as the mischievous pair you are" he coughed a little at the end to hide the chuckle that slipped out, lucky for him they didn't notice.
"Ugh fine! But it better be taken off the 24 hrs?" Sadie gave in, "Not happening!" Was their short response. They both left half defeated half happy. Lieutenant Renji giggled at the scene that just happened. But soon shut up when he received a glare off the Captain.
"So captain, have you actually thought about their request?" Renji asked with curiosity evident in his voice. "It has nothing to do with you Lieutenant, but yes I have given it some thought, I shall be speaking with the head captain to hear his thoughts" Captain Kuchiki stood up to leave, knowing he hasn't done any work he scoffed at himself "them pair have got a lot to answer for, not letting me do my work without my mind being riddled of them" he mumbled to himself as he left the room slamming the door shut behind him.
Renji just chuckled at his irritated Captain, "well best get something done" he said to himself as he took half of the paperwork off Byakuya's desk and shifted it to his own. 'It's strangely quiet, without Captains pen scratching on paper, or giggles from the twins' he thought to himself as he sighed and got to work.
*Mean while*
Instead of Byakuya going to see the head Captain he ran into Yoruichi Shihoin instead "been awhile Byakuya!" She spoke as she flash stepped in front of him. "Hmph... Yoruichi what do you want?" The Captain responded sharply, "my my aren't we rather grumpy today?" She giggled and added "so what's on your mind?" Looking straight at Byakuya with a grin that irritated the Captain even more. But he gave in and explained everything, "I see what a predicament for you to be in, if I were you I'd let them train, that way they are supervised and if someone see's them doing something wrong, someone can correct the twins before they get injured" Yoruichi replied thoughtfully and that was it an idea struck Byakuya like lightening.
Looking Yoruichi and clenched and released his jaw before saying, "I'm only saying this once, thank you for your help!" And disappeared back to his office. Walking in he noticed over half of his paperwork was gone, quickly looking to Renji's desk he spotted them completed in a neat pile, whilst Renji was sleeping, pen in hand halfway through the page. Captain Kuchiki was grateful for the help and left Renji alone.
*Time Skip*
A few hours has passed and Byakuya has completed his pile of papers thanks the Renji as well and now he was going to talk to the twins. "Lieutenant Abarai would you please call Sadie and Skye in" He sighed as he watched his Lieutenant leave the room, and decided to over the decision for what felt like a million times since they asked. "Daddy" Skye chirped "you called" Sadie finished, "Yes I did, I've decided that I will allow you to train..." But before he could finished the twins squealed with joy, jumping up and down, "Girls!!" Their dad shouted and silence soon fell upon the room, "I wasn't finished!" He stated "sorry daddy!" They replied in unison and stood up straighter, kept quiet and awaited for his 'conditions' he looked satisfied with their sudden seriousness.
"I have decided to allow you both to train in supervision, so they won't be any more injuries and will be showed how to do things properly. But my condition is you will be on a 4 week trial, then I will decide whether to allow you to continue or not based on your attitude and performance" Byakuya finished looking at his twins girls seriously, "I see, then Daddy we will" Sadie started "make you proud and take it seriously" Skye finished. Bowing slightly they rushed of to you about their fathers decision.
"Ahh... So that was your idea, a trail? Very well thought of Byakuya" Yoruichi appeared from no where, patted him on the back before flash stepping away.
"Mummy... Mummy" the girls shouted as they ran into the house, "Hello Skye, Hello Sadie why are you so excited?" You already knew why but wanted them to tell you, "Daddy is letting us train!" Sadie squealed "he's giving us a 4 week trial and if we do good we can continue" Skye carried on the sentence, "wow I'm so happy for you, but you must be serious and listen to want your both told you know!" You lightly lectured knowing, what they are like.
"We know mum we know, we said we were going to be serious and do you and dad proud!" Skye and Sadie said together with determination on their faces.
"Very good and pleased to hear!" You smiled kissing both of them on the cheek, 'mum, dad? Oh my dear husband our girls are growing up fast!' You thought as you lovingly gazed at the girls, who were now, having to keep their promise of no pranking.
The twins went to their room and that's when you heard the door open and close, "Byakuya my dear how was your day?" You asked kissing him on the cheek, and then left to get Eric who was happily trying to walk to his father, with big smile on his face from the other side of the room. Byakuya couldn't help but smile at his sons eagerness to see and hug him. "I gather you heard about my decision (F/n)? And my day was... Interesting" he asked and answered whilst taking Eric off you as he was leaning towards his dad. "Yes that your giving them a trial!" You chuckled at the two men in your life, "yes and I know they will make us proud!" He replied bouncing his son in his arms causing the little boy to giggle
