"Hi. My name s Dr. Kris and I'll be your doctor for today until you check out from the hospital." he said as with his charming smile and eyes.

He was wearing the lab coat, but under it, he was wearing a lavander v-neck shirt and just jeans and then a black nike roshe-run. In short, He was charming. As he walked towards to my bed, he sat down on my side and observed me. First he checked my eyesight, and then he checked my breathing, then he touched my neck and massaged them. Then, he stood up pat my head.

"So far, you're doing great." he smiled and winked at me. My eyes widened.

"So what did happen to me doctor?" I asked since I was really curious.

His smiled faded away and he breathe in and breathe out heavily.

"You have Diabetic Macular Edema." he sat down beside me.

"Huh? What is that?" I asked since I was really curious and afraid.

"Diabetic macular edema is a complication of diabetes caused by fluid accumulation in the macula, or central portion of the eye. The macula is filled with cones, the nerve cells that are responsible for sensing light. When the macula begins to fill with fluid, the ability of those cells to sense light is impaired, causing blurred vision that can be severe." he explained.

"How? Why?" I was confused and shocked.

"Your type of diabetes is connected to it, and your severe hypertension, and the other symptoms is connected to it, especially your hypoalbuminemia, or low protein in body fluids. You've stressed to much." he explained further.

"So, what's gonna happen to me then?" I asked

"Well, yeah you'll lose you're eyesight. But if we hurry, you won't experience that stage." he smiled and winked at me. Wow those charming eyes and that cute and killer smile.

"What do you mean by hurry?" I asked.

"Two surgical procedures are commonly performed to treat diabetic macular edema, both aimed at maintaining vision for the patient, and reducing future vision loss,. First is laser treatment for focal DME, this uses a laser light to close leaking blood vessels, preventing more fluid from entering the macula. Three months after treatment, the patient should be rechecked to make sure the DME is responding to therapy. Then after this we usually go for laser treatment for diffuse DME. Thsis uses grid laser treatment to narrow dilated blood vessels. As with focal DME treatment, the patient should be rechecked three months after surgery to make sure that the DME is responding to therapy." He explained as he wiped his glases on his coat and wore them. Oh jeez... It made him more hot.

I was shocked with everything I heard, but it still hasn't synced in me. I wanted to cry and lie down on my hospital bed. I couldn't imagine that I could possibly go blind. I am terrified.

"Have you told my family yet?" I asked.

"Yes, they know already." He said.

"Alright, uhm.. Can you give us a minute or two?" I asked him.

"Sure, no problem. If there's a problem the nurses are just one push of a button away." he smiled.

"Thanks doc." I smirked at him.

He exited my room and as my aunt entered, I looked at her and I could feel the tears piling up in my eyes, I couldn't say anything the things I wanted to say. My throat felt tight, my hands were shivering, my body didn't move a single movement. I was shocked and I was scared. I was shocked because it was such a surprise, how could  I have gotten this sickeness, maybe it was because diabetes ran through our family? Maybe. I was scared, I didn't want to go blind. I was afraid.

"Heyy couch potato" I saw Glenn smiling as he was opened the door.

"Hey, thanks for bringing me here when, uhmm.. Yeah. Thanks" I smiled back at him.

"So what did the doctor say?" he asked. I thought he knew, I thought he was here in my room when the doctor announced what happened to me when I was not that unconscious.

"Yeah, he said that I as gonna be fine. It was just that I was too stressed and tired, but I'll be fine." I smiled and I felt my aunt looking ay me with a shocked look and I just nodded and winked at her.

"Well, that's good to hear, nothing too serious. You still have to rest and relax though." He said as he hugged me tightly and kissed my forehead.

"Ehem... Aunt here." my aunt said as he interfered in.

"Eveything's fine. We're just friends" I said to her.

"Yeah. I have to sleep since I have to go home tomorrow. I have to go back with my thesis, my defense is coming up. it's already next week. I have re-read it again and do the powerpoint." I said.

"I can't wait for you to graduate." my aunt said.

"Yeah... Me too." Glenn said.

"Okay... Good night everyone" I said as I tucked myself in on the hospital bed.

I was staring at the ceiling. I was thinking about what's gonna happen in between... Was I going to lie about this? Should I keep this from Kenneth and Justin and Glenn? I mean, I don't want them to worry too much. So yeah, I think it's best to not just tell them. I'm go on and tell my aunt tomorrow about what I've thought about just now.

Good Night.....
