"Are you ready, Kathie?"
"Why is she here again?" Katherine pointed her thumb over her shoulder
"I'm here to dispatch you if you go berserk," Alexis responded quickly whilst strolling her black yoyo up and down; her other hand flashed a dagger at her even though Katherine was not looking at her.
"Right," Katherine whispered whilst she looked away irritably from her then set her eyes at Jesslyn, who stood before her in her signature black tracksuit despite being a Sunday, "What time is it?"
Jesslyn looked at her wristwatch, "Almost seven," she replied as she looked up at the night sky, "The challenge has already started."
"I hope we can at least get there before it ends," Katherine spoke as she rested her elbow on her armrest and leant her cheek onto her knuckles, "I bet it would be interesting."
Jesslyn nodded, "It's a bloodbath."
"Why am I here if there's a massacre going on?" Alexis quickly questioned as she hopped off the edge of the building with narrow eyes whilst she pulled up her yoyo to show how serious she was. "Don't you think I should be there, Master Viper?"
Katherine looked over her shoulder, at Alexis, who had a sadistic twinkle in her eye as she could feel a smirk being held back to show her madness; her clothing looked virtuous from its Lolita replica, yet her attitude did not match its innocence. The light of the stars on her side and the darkness on the other made her look sinister - nearly devilish in appeal. It made the young wolf look away as she somehow felt her pulse quicken just from looking at her malicious gaze.
"First of all, do not," Jesslyn raised a finger, "I repeat, do not," she slightly raised her voice, "Call me that," she palmed her forehead before she sighed, "I no longer hold that title even if mother told you that I do."
Well, isn't she so humble?
Eyes widening, Katherine clenched her jaw as she stared at Jesslyn; her body suddenly a chilling breeze entered her body that made her feel cold at the sudden appearance of a particularly familiar voice in the wind that caused her body to freeze in place, uncertain as to where it was or how it was even possible.
"Second," Jesslyn crossed her arms as Alexis looked at with uninterested, listless eyes, "Your duties are with her," she pointed at Katherine without looking at her, "Wherever she goes, you're supposed be there as well," she explained, "Whether you're ahead or behind by two steps."
"Pity," Alexis sighed as she leant back against the barrier and resumed the stroll of her yoyo, "I would have enjoyed spilling their blood."
And this one, she's far too centred on bloodlust.
Jesslyn frowned at her whilst shaking her head, clearly disappointed that Alexis still thought that way; she had expected that the clan would have already changed their way of educating their future predators, but she thought wrong. She was certain that the clan has made a great reform in their system that would have taken quite some time to actually implement - batter into their minds for better.
Sighing inwardly, Jesslyn turned to the sky as she saw the moon take its throne completely, basking in its moonlight before she turned to Katherine, whose eyes manifested gold at the moon's glow. The starry night was beautiful that complimented the moon entirely, making it seem as though it was a king surrounded by its celestial subjects.
Ah, master of the night, I bow my head to your majesty.
Keeping silent, Katherine pretended not to hear the voice, but despite her attempt to feign ignorance, her actions spoke otherwise; perspiration arrived in slow trickling beads which caught Jesslyn's attention. Closing her eyes, she did not wish to see her concerned look and possibly alarm them, aware that Alexis might take it seriously given her job.
