The Girl on the Wire

29 2 7

There is a girl

who walks

on a wire,

She is careful

not to fall

each step

could be her

last,

Yet every time

her barefoot

meets the wire

she does not

trip or fall,

As her confidence

grows

she starts to come

careless,

She skips and runs

she even jumps,

One day

she takes

a leap of faith,

She falls,

Hands spread

out wide,

She reaches

for the wire,

When all hope

seemed to be lost,

The fall

seemed to be

too long,

The girl’s hand

grasps a wire

a cold, hard, wire,

She pulled

herself up,

She took

a few

small steps,

Then went on

running

again,

Still as

carefree

as before,

She does not

learn

from her

mistakes,

Next time

the girl on the wire

falls

she will not be so lucky,

She will not

be able

to grasp the wire,

She will fall.

So this is where I put my poetry that I have written because I write poetry too! Wow! Some of the poems have been written a while ago so... side note on that. The pictuer on the side is just kinda goes with the poem. I don't have picuters often for poems though I might try to add them on here... I don't know
