How can you love me?
If you've never seen me,
If you've never heard me,
How can you love me?
If all there is,
Is an illusion bent on the mind's perception,
To fulfill a need,
Whose needs?
Mine or yours ,
How can you stand there proclaiming love, If you have never seen my monsters,
If you have never heard me break,
Break until there is nothing left,
How can you love me?
For me,
Don't you dare tell me you love me,
Not unless you see my closet of skeletons,
Not unless you know my imperfect perfections,
How can you love me?
A scarred soul,
A budding flower,
A jumble of complexities known as me,
Don't you dare confess,
Unless you've seen me for me,
Heard my cries,
Because I might do the crazy thing,
And believe you.
