I hate meetings. They are always so boring. I usually die of boredom.Just like I was in this meeting.
I was sitting at the head of the table in the Headmaster's office, Rick on the other side with the others sat between us. Glenn, Maggie, Carol, Michonne, Daryl, Carl, Sasha, Tara, Eugene, Abraham, Rosita and Bob (aka the whole group in my time)
in total were gathered.Rick was talking about potential problems with the fence and some crap about not having enough supplies to last us and how someone was going to have to go on a run into town. Wait, what?
'Hold on there ring leader, no one is going on a run! Ever since you and your people turned up, the streets have been chockablock filled with walkers! Its too dangerous, even for your most skilled fighters. And ever hesitated to think that I emptied all of the houses around here and two miles out!' I retorted. Dad stared at me like I had grown two heads and covered myself in rainbow glitter. I shrugged.
' What? I had some spare time. Being alone gives you a lot of that.'Dad looked down in shame of loosing me. I tapped his arm and he looked up. I have him a reassuring smirk that he copied.
' We have to go out there, unless you want us to starve to death.'
Rick replied.' do you really want to go out there, risk getting your face eaten off by the dead, have the noise of the gate attracting all of the walkers on the street and block the only entrance and exit?' When nobody answered, I took that as a queue (i don't even know how to spell it ) to continue. 'No? No takers? I didn't think so. And also, no body leaves this establishment without my say so or knowledge. Do I make myself clear?'
Rick hesitated, but answered. ' Yes, but if me or my people want to leave, we will.'
I replied instantly. ' Oh of course! That goes without saying. I just need to know who I need to cater for and how many rooms are spare. I'm thinking of bringing in a role-call, so that we know who is here and if anyone is busy or ill, as I think we all know that it can be dangerous to get sick in a world like this.'
Rick smiled. ' Well I'm glad we agree on something. That is a great idea, Thalia, I'm sure I can see it done.' I nodded my head in thanks. 'Well if that's all, I believe this meeting can come to a close.'
We all stood, but before anyone could leave I asked a question.
' I know that my dad and Merle are almost never separate. This thing, a apocalypse really, had brought them together.'
I paused, already knowing the answer to my question as Dad would never willingly leave Merle.
' What happened to my uncle Merle?'
Dun dun DUN!!!
Have a cliffhanger!(well it isn't theoretically speaking, but it is in my eyes)
Hope you liked it! I'm really sorry for not updating sooner!
I love you guys!
