Flashback

Alex soon finished the spell. "So?" Elena asked with hope filled eyes. Alex nodded her head. This meant that they were still alive that Caroline was still alive. "What about Sam?" Dean asked her nicely eyes filled with hope. Alex gave him a small smile.

"Yes. As I'm sensing they are both alive and together," Alex said looking down with a pause. "But I'm not sure where they are. Sam has long hair, eyes that are a color that you honestly can't tell, he's super tall one way compare him to a moose...that him?" Alex asked with a weird look on her face.

Dean chuckled, Crowley would always call Sam moose and Dean squirrel. Dean nodded "That's him alright." He said shaking his head still laughing. "Okay maybe I can look s little back see a flashback." Alex says looking at Elena and Dean asking for approval they nodded. Jeremy sat there waiting for this to happen.

•Flashback•

Caroline looked up at the dark sky. Yes purgatory was able to have day and night. No stars visible in the night sky. She shook her head and put her arms on the back of her head as if they were a pillow on the cold floor. "I got firewood." Sam said walking to Caroline and dropping them in front of her.

This made her come out of her gaze. "Looking at the sky again?" Sam asked Caroline. Yes the blonde had always looked at the night sky unless it was her time to get firewood. She adored the sky it was beautiful. The world was beautiful.

The world was beautiful and cruel. The universe decided to trap them there in the hell hole. Caroline nodded her head with a smile. Caroline made a fire and they sat silently. They had ate berries they weren't so bad...sometimes. And Sam would occasionally give Caroline a bit of his blood.

"Sam?" Caroline called to the moose. A slight hm came in response while Sam warmed his hands up close to the fire. "D-do you think we'll ever leave?" She asked with a gulp. A lump came in her throat talking about the subject was difficult but she wanted to hear his beliefs, what he thought. "Honestly yes,

I think we will leave. And when we do well be happy again." Sam said nodding his head. He missed Dean. He missed how he would always want pie. How he would smile and be happy at points because all Sammy wanted was for big old brother Dean to be happy.

Caroline sighed, she too missed her friends. She missed how Elena would smile brightly after having a party because it would be a time off of what they had to deal with. Caroline missed Bonnie and how she used her witchy powers, she missed how Stefan would make her seem like she wasn't crazy, she even missed Damon's stupid smart remarks!

But meeting Sam, was amazing. The blonde felt herself falling for the tall moose more and more every day. She soon realized she hadn't said anything back. "I should be at home eating popcorn while watching my favorite movie." Caroline said with a grunt. "And I should be home hunting with my brother."

Sam said rolling his eyes. "But I'm not complaining." Sam said with a chuckle Caroline sat straight. "You are complaining in your head," Caroline says tapping her forehead. "You just don't wanna say it out loud." She said and smiled at him.

Sam smiled back with a roll of his eyes. "Okay I'm gonna hit the sack." Sam said and laid on the ground facing Caroline she nodded with a yawn and also laid down. "Tomorrow is gonna be day 50 or something in purgatory isn't it?" She asked Sam before falling asleep. "I don't know. Don't keep track." He mumbled

And they bother fell asleep quickly.

Alex gasped she shook her head. "No." She whispered in shock and sadness. "It can't be." She said barley above a whisper Jeremy, Elena, and Dean looked at her. "What happened, where are they?! Dean asked with a hint of fright in his voice hoping his brother was okay.

Alex looked up at him wide eyed not saying a word. Elena gently put her hand on Alex's trying to help her calm down a bit but Elena was freaking out on the inside also. "Tell us. What is it?" Jeremy asked leaning to get closer. Alex nodded and finally spoke. "They're in purgatory."
