Plan Failed

"Cas." Katherine said shaking his arm. "Yes Katherine?" Castiel asked looking at her. "There's a masquerade ball tomorrow night, Elena might be there so we're going." Katherine said with a sly smirk. Cas tilted his head. "Masquerade ball?" He asked her Katherine shook her head. "Yes Cas a masquerade ball." She said annoyed.

"Your gonna help me get her, okay? Katherine asked the angel who nodded his head. "Alright." She said and walked to her closet to pick a dress for the ball.

•Meanwhile with Elena and Dean and yeaaaah•

"What?!" Elena yelled at Stefan and Damon. "Katherine is in town. We heard she's going to the masquerade ball." Stefan said looking at Elena with a straight face. Dean, Elena, Alex, and Jeremy went to Stefan and Damon's house to tell them Caroline was alive but one thing lead to another and they found out Katherine was in Mystic Falls.

"And how did you figure that out?" Elena asked her jaw clenched. Damon shrugged, "She sorta called us." He said with a shake of his head. "Why would this 'Katherine' do that?" Dean asked Damon one eyebrow lifted up. Damon looked at Dean. "Katherine want us to know she's here for a reason." Stefan cut in.

Dean nodded. "Let's make a plan then if Katherine's gonna be at the masquerade ball, we can try and attack her." Jeremy said looking between Elena and everyone else. Alex nodded in agreement. "I'll help but I need to know how Katherine looks." Dean said, everyone went quiet.

"She looks like Elena." Alex said with a weird look. She had never met or seen Katherine in real life but Elena had told her of the few encounters with Katherine. Dean raised an eyebrow again. "How?" He asked them Damon looked at him annoyed.

"Elena are you sure we can trust this hunter?" Damon asked her ignoring Dean's question. Dean glared at him and Damon rolled his eyes. "Elena are you sure we can trust these vampires?" Dean asked with a smirk. Elena rolled her eyes. "Shut up both of you, make sure to put on masks and suits boys it's called a masquerade party for a reason." Elena said and Alex walked out of the room with her.

They all shrugged and they made a plan.

•Masquerade Party time•

Katherine entered with Castiel. "Okay so now that I told the Salvatore's I'm gonna be here they're definitely coming to protect precious Elena so thanks for taking me here bye bye." Katherine said with a smirked and shooed him off.

Castiel just shrugged and zapped out of the ball. From afar she saw Stefan and Alex. Yes she did know Alex she had seen a few pictures of her when she disguised herself as Elena so now she knows to get rid of Alex. But there was another guy with them. Green sparkling eyes, blonde hair that can be mistaken for brown and a scruff.

She smirked. Stefan saw her and walked over to her. Katherine took a strawberry from the table and took a bite. "Katherine." Stefan said looking at her. She waved at him. "Hiya Steffy." She said with a giggle. "Haven't seen you in centuries." Katherine smiled.

Stefan rolled his eyes. "Whatever you want Katherine get it and leave." Stefan said coming closer to her. "I came her for three reasons," she paused holding up three fingers. "You, you, and you." She said putting her hand down. "No. Leave Katherine go, get out of town." Stefan said shaking his head.

"Who's that?" She asked point in at Dean. While Dean wasn't paying any attention because he was talking to Alex, acting casual. Stefan raised in eyebrow. "Why does it matter?" He asked Katherine. She smirked "No reason." She replied. "Bye Stefan." Katherine said and used her vamp speed to go somewhere other than where Stefan was.

Later that night Alex ran into Katherine. "Hey Elena." She said with a smile. But Alex's smile turned into a straight face she realized who it was. It wasn't Elena it was Katherine. "Not Elena! Not Elena!" Alex said running. "STEFAN? JEREMY! DAMON?" She yelled their names out. "DEAN!" She yelled.

Dean hid behind the wall and when Katherine came walking by he shoved the stake into her stomach. "Bad move." Katherine said panting she grabbed his arm and flipped him over. She bent down to look at him. "And you are?" She asked with a fake pouty face. "Go to hell." Dean coughed out some blood.

"Nice to meet you go to hell, I'm Katherine and when I'm finished with you I'm gonna make you go to hell." She said with a sarcastic smile. Stefan ran up behind her and held her down. Damon came up and had a stake in hand, he was about to put it into her heart.

"Get me out of here." Katherine choked out. Cas appeared up so quick no one could see his face and both Katherine and him were gone. "The hell?" Damon yelled/asked. Alex fell to the ground told Dean. "You okay?" She asked Dean. He nodded and say up straight. "I think she broke my wrist but to her than that...peachy." He said with a fake smile.

Alex giggled "okay let's get you out of here." Alex said and helped him up. "What did I miss?" Elena asked who walked in with Jeremy. Alex and Dean plastered a fake smile and sighed. They walked out of the room. "What?" Elena asked confused. Stefan and Damon shook their heads. "A little late..." Stefan said and walked out and Damon followed.

Jeremy shrugged and Elena and him followed behind the rest of the group. Dean later fixed his wrist up with the help of Stefan's blood and their plan failed. "Hey Dean." Alex said sitting next to him. "Hmm?" He responded looking at his wrist. "I'm gonna help you get your brother out I promise."

Alex said, Dean smiled and nodded his head. "Thank you Alex."
