Chapter 12: Do You Like Me?

Asa's P.O.V

Me and Madeline went home, I came home with my clothes soaking wet. I came to the living room and saw my brother laying on the couch and watching TV. I started going straight to my room then my brother stopped me with his voice.

" where have been, did you know its raining outside?" my brother Morgan asked

"I know Morgan. I was outside with this girl who lives next door, she is my best friend" I told him

"alright, mum told me you like her a lot, Asa"

"man, why is mum keep telling you guys that?"

" I don't know but it is true"

"yeah it is" 

"hm-mm" that's all my brother could say

"oh shoot, I just forgot  tomorrow is Madeline's birthday. I need to change then I'll go shopping and buy her something. but who is going to drive me there?"

"I'll drive you"

"okay fine"

Me and Morgan both got ready to change . then we left our apartment and went shopping. we went to the mall called Wal-Mart. there was sale of going on. there was a young woman sailing jewelry and clothing. I was looking at the jewelry mostly. then I saw something shining at me. it was a necklace and a bracelet attach together with a small box. It was beautiful. the necklace was a shape of a heart and the charm bracelet has heart, a lock for the  heart and a word love on it.  a small diamond shaped like a rose. it was white and shining. I pay the woman and she give me the receipt and a bag. me and Morgan went another store. then we found a store and went in to buy a card. luckily I found a perfect card. it said "we are best friends, always remember that if you fall, I will pick you, your best friend and I'll do anything to take care of you, and I know you will always take care of me back. you are like the best thing that's ever happen to me. you are my best friend".

now you realized it was made for a boy to give to a girl that you are in friendship from. so I just got it others were hard to find. but this is the perfect one. so anyway I pay. me and Morgan went home. we came home and Morgan started resting on the couch. I was so happy to wrap her gift. I came to my room and started wrapping them. I put them gently in the bag. the jewelry were not that expensive. but I couldn't wait to wake up in the morning and give it to her. then i heard my ringtone and checked my phone. it was Amy calling me. I answered.

"hello" I said

"Hi ,Asa, how r u?" she said

"im fine thank you and what about you?"

"i'm great thanks"

"so what's up"

"oh, Asa I just wanted to remind you that tomorrow is Madeline's birthday. I'm at the mall getting her a present. did you got her a present?"

"I know Madeline's birthday is tomorrow, anyway I actually got her present it, barely"

"oh that's great"

"yeah.....hey Amy, can I ask you something?"

"anything, my friend"

"okay, but don't tell Madeline"

"I will tell"

I froze

"I'm kidding Asa" she laughed

"okay. um I like Madeline a lot"

"awww, I can't believe it, why can't you tell her?"

"I'm afraid to ask her and I'm afraid she wont like me back"
