I have to apologize in advance but I was inspired.

(Disclaimer)-I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE CHARACTER'S OR THE WORLD. THIS IS A FICTIONAL STORY BASED OFF OF THE GENIUS, CASSANDRA CLARE.

It looked like it would be a victory, but a grim one. As one arrow flew, Alec had another ready to soar in an instant. He couldn't help the smirk that tugged on his lips when he saw Sebastian's astonished look at nearly being beaten.

It was not a happy sight however, as many nephilim lay on the ground; unmoving, their heart's paralyzed in place and the look peace that spread across their face as the died. Downworlders were not excluded from the battle. They had their fair share of dead on the field as well.

Alec watched everyone's back shooting an arrow at any demon or endarkened who dared challenge the nephilim. The arrows didn't always kill them but they did slow them down enough for them to be much less of a threat. He looked upon the astonishing sight of Clary and Jace taking on Sebastian, holding nothing back as they should. The two of them fought well together.

They finally got him down and spoke something to him that Alec was unable to comprehend. Sebastian gave them a smug smile, spat sometging back at them, and knocked them off of him. He was so fast that Alec almost didn't notice the movement at all.

He tried to aim for Sebastian but he was to quick. He couldn't get a good shot. They moved like bullets shooting themselves at each other. Alec finally got a clear shot and took it. The arrow whized straight into Sebastian's leg. Clary took advantage of the distraction and plunged her blade through his heart.

He was dead. It was over. Finally over. As he fell to the ground in death the endarkened fell alongside with him. The demons proved relentless though and continued fighting. Alec heard the demon behind him before anyone called out a warning. He had his hand on his seraph blade in a flash and cut the creature to pieces watching it reduce to ash on the ground.

Then came the scream.

Alec recognized it immediately and turned in the direction of the battlefield, his eyes wide and alert, searching for the voice's owner.

Once he spotted Magnus, he took off, running faster than he ever had and slicing through everything that got in his way.

He dropped to his knees in a pool of blood beside Magnus, took his hand and screamed so loud that he swore the angels could hear.

Magnus took staggering breathes and it was easy to read the pain that spread across his face with each one. "Magnus," Alec pleaded, "please don't. Don't leave me." Tears flowed like a river down his face and he choked on his sobs.

Jace, Clary, Izzy and Simon gathered around them. Jace keeled down beside Alec and put a hand on his shoulder. Luke came over and went down on the other side of Magnus.

Magnus looked at Alec with pain and love in his weeping eyes. He smiled at Alec. "I love you, my Alexander. I always will."

Sorrow spread over Alec's face. "NO! Magnus please, take my energy, heal yourself. Take it all, just don't leave me, please don't leave me." Magnus shook his head. "It would drain you. You wouldn't live through it."

Alec's heart beat faster than he'd ever thought possible. He looked painstakingly up at Luke. "We-we need t-to get him to Ca-Catarina."

Like nodded. "Go call her Alec. Tell her to be at his aprtment, waiting for us. Clary, make a portal. The rest of you, help me."

They all rushed to do what Luke had assigned them to do. Alec had Catarina in her portaling to Magnus's apartment, Clary's portal was ready and The rest of the had Magnus's wound bound with pieces of clothing.

Luke lifted him up off the ground, and they all rushed through the portal and landed in Magnus's living room. Catarina waited in the kitchen for them and they brought him over and laid him on the counter. The blue warlock immediatly got to work. "I need yo lot to leave," she said without looking up, "he needs space and I work best alone."

Alec opened his mouth to protest but Izzy put a hand on his shoulder. "Alec, it'll be best for him if we go. She'll tell us what happens." He wanted to argue but he was to exhausted so all he said was,"Please, take care of him." She gave a small nod again without looking up and they left.

Jocelyn had allowed Clary to stay at the institute that night and Izzy, Jace, Clary and Alec stayed in the library because Alec couldn't sleep. They all sat with him on the couch and said nothing as Alec sobbed into Izzy's shoulder. She was crying and so was Clary but they kept quiet as not to disturb Alec.

They all ended up sleeping due to exhaustion. Sebastian had been defeated but it didn't feel like a victory. Not when they knew Magnus was dying a few blocks away.

Alec was the first to wake up and he began pacing across the room. He did that all morning. The other three woke up and just sat there. They tried to get him to relax but they were unsuccessful.
It wasn't till late that evening when they finally heard news. Mayrse walked into the library and saw a sleeping Alec sprawled out on the couch while Jace Clary and Izzy sat on the floor beside him. She didn't want to wake him so she beckoned the three on the floor into the hallway. Catarina was there with her as she gave them the news.

Alec's eyes fluttered opened to a blue figure standing over him. He snapped up and took hold of her grasped her shoulders. "What happened, is he alright? Is he alive." She said nothing but motioned to a figure standing against a wall behind them. He looked over and melted.

Alec shot over to Magnus in a heartbeat. He crashed into Magnus with a force that sent the two tumbling back into the wall. Alec's arms flew around the warlock's neck and Alec sobbed into his shoulder. Magnus closed his eyes and smiled as he placed his arms around Alec's waist and pulled him close.

"I thought you were gone. I thought I had lost you." Alec managed to get out through his sobs. Magnus put his head next to Alec's ear. "You could never lose me Alec." Alec pulled back only far enough to place a fierce kiss onto his mouth. Magnus leaned into the kiss with the same intensity Alec had shown him.

"Dont, ever leave me. Please." Alec whispered onto his lips. "I love you Magnus, so much." Magnus smiled and replied, "As I will always love you, my Alexander."

They stayed together like that, for a long time.

I know I know I'm horrible. But hey, i didn't kill either of them. That's got to count for something right?

Whatever the next one will be happy I promise.
