Chapter 5 - I told you don't follow me!

Note: ~ This is a romantic comedy, parody, slice-of-life story so expect a hint of lovey-dovey stuff, light comedy, some references from other anime, manga or games and a lot of daily life conversations. And nope, this isn't a fan fiction :) ~

Story thus far:

Akito found out about the real gender and job of Kaito. He was also invited into her house by Kaito's mother. Akito also gets to talk to her little sister. In the midst of it, he feels more tense and embarassed. Kaito thanked him and asked him if he could keep her job a secret.

Kaito's POV (as Miyuki):
Miyuki: *male voice* I'm here!

I entered the maid cafe through the back door. I was surprisinglt welcomed with a broom stick pointed at me.

Yumi: Oh it's just you! I thought it was a burglar! You really need to control that double-voice of yours. You want some water?

Miyuki: *male voice* Sure.

Yumi gave me a glass of water and a cough drop.

Miyuki: *female voice* Thanks.

Yumi: Better. Are you practicing your voice control? You shouldn't sleep late because it affects your voice.

Miyuki: Really? I'll keep that in mind,

Chisaki: You're almost late, which is unusual. Did something happen?

Miyuki: I just had a visitor at home that I have to entertain.

Yumi: Seems like a guy, huh? Did that visitor saw you as Miyuki or Kaito?

Miyuki: Uhh... both?

Chisaki: What!?

Miyuki: Well it's complicated, he saw me in my maid outfit but without a wig. So...

Chisaki: Oh. Well tell me about the details later.

Yumi: So, are you replacing Mr. Gentleman, now?

Miyuki: Don't say that! And that guy isn't a gentleman, okay?

Yumi: You don't have a twintail right now so don't be such a tsundere.

Chisaki: You mean Master Shin? You're a maid in this cafe, Miyuki, you have to treat him well. Your wage practically came from him, you know?

Yumi: Haha! Are you allowed to say that?

Chisaki: Shh! That's how it works! Maid cafes are expensive for a reason. Anyway Miyuki, after you change to your maid outfit, you can go clean the tables for now, there aren't as much customers at the moment.

Miyuki: Yokai! (Roger!)

And so I went out and wiped the tables after I changed. I also attended some of the masters' orders and requests. I leaned at tbe counter waiting for the cook to finish an order. I looked at the clock. By this time, Shin's supposed to be here already. Why isn't---why do I even care...

Yumi: Mr. Gentleman's most likely not coming today. And here's for table four.

Miyuki: Oh, thanks.
