Chapter 2 - I told you, he's not a gentleman!

Note: ~ This is a romantic comedy, parody, slice-of-life story so expect a hint of lovey-dovey stuff, light comedy, some references from other anime, manga or games and a lot of daily life conversations. And nope, this isn't a fan fiction :) ~

Story thus far:

Due to unfortunate events, our main heroine, Yoshihisa Kaito, were 'known as a boy' as she transfer into a newly co-ed school. Her seatmate, Harada Akito, started teasing her for her cute looks and vulnerable attitude--with some doubts on her true gender even after confirming her masculine acts. Behind all of this, Kaito works at a maid café as Miyuki to support her family, tuition and for a payment on her mother's sickness.

Kaito's POV (as Miyuki):

Here in Akihabara, two towns far from home, I work at Sakura Café as a maid named as Miyuki. I've started working here since spring, few months before I graduated from junior high and at the same time as the grand opening of the store. So yes, it is a newly built establishment.

It is as peaceful as always in our shop. No, it is not a shady café, sometimes, few middle schoolers come here too. Most of our customers visit regularly, around daily to four times a week. The unique part of our shop is the theme that changes three times a week. I am surprised that our maid chief (aka the manager) doesn't run out of ideas. But for now, we're sticking to the ordinary maid outfits.

*door chimes ringing; door opens*

Miyuki: *bows; girl voice* Okaerinasaimase, goshujinsama (Welcome home, master) ~

Customer: Ah, domo Miyuki!

Miyuki: *bows* Would you like me to carry your bags to your table?

Customer: Yes please.

Miyuki: Would you like to sit to your usual table? No one currently sits in there.

Customer: Sure, thank you.

Miyuki: *boy voice* Douzo-- *cough cough, gulp; girl voice* Douzo...

Customer: Hm? Are you alright?

Miyuki: *boy voice* Iie--ja nakutte--hai! (No--I mean--Yes!) *clears throat* Douzo, kochirae. (Come, this way please)

He is one of our regular customers, Shin-sama. Just as usual, he has his cool black hair, plus he wear glasses, plain striped shirt and jeans with few bags from anime stores around Akihabara just like Animote. But actually, we met each other first online on a video sharing website called Rico Rico Douga.

Miyuki: Which maid would you want to assist you?

Shin: May I have you again?

Miyuki: With pleasure, Shin-sama ^_^ Is there anything that you would like to order?

Shin: Same thing, Spicy Omelette and iced tea, please.

Miyuki: *double checks voice* Is there any text you would like me to write on it?

Shin: Mm... let's see, you write whatever you want this time.

Miyuki: Not... Nagisa-sama?

Shin: There is got to be changes sometimes, you may write my waifu's (most favorite female character) name next time. And... include those magical heart thingy too...

Miyuki: *I thought in my head: w-what* Hai, kashikomarimashita. (Yes, most certainly) ^_^ *bows*

And so I went to the kitchen and told Yumi, one of my co-workers who is in-charge of the cooking, about his order and went to the next table. By the way, the time he told me to write Nagisa's name on his omelette dish at the very beginning, I was surprised. I doubted that he might have known be before... which is when I was around six... and thought that he may be my childhood friend and that my life is really going 2D-like. BUT NOPE. It's his waifu's name, Fuyukawa Nagisa from an animé named Klannad. I was so glad to confirm that right after he requested me--but at the same time I was a bit sad because it's another miss to make my life closer to what I've been seeing in animé and manga. But oh well, reality snaps and you're back into track.
