Chapter 3 - I told you, I'm not flustered!
Note: ~ This is a romantic comedy, parody, slice-of-life story so expect a hint of lovey-dovey stuff, light comedy, some references from other anime, manga or games and a lot of daily life conversations. And nope, this isn't a fan fiction :) ~
Story thus far:
Kaito works as Miyuki in a maid café away from where she lives, There she serves one of their regular customers, Shin, who teases her a lot. He invited her to buy a limited light novel volume but she refuses due to her work. But as her manager heard their conversation, she decided to let her take some time off. Shin and Miyuki are now headed to the bookstore.
Shin's POV:
I invited Miyuki to tag along with me on buying Akiyama Shinoru's last light novel volume at Denki-kai Bookstore earlier. I was late since I was nervous that I don't know what to prepare. It's my first time to invite a girl. That was nerve-wrecking! Who would've thought that I could pull it off? Arrgghh I'm super embarrassed! >///<(Walking on a street towards the bookstore)
Miyuki: Is Akiyama-sensei's book the only book you wanted to buy?
Shin: Yeah, I bought all the stuff I wanted to buy earlier. We could eat dinner at some café nearby. You know, like a... date.
Miyuki: Like a what, sorry?
Shin: Like something! Y-Yeah! (She looks at me, confused) Nothing--nevermind.
Miyuki: Heeeeh... do you think this counts as a date?
Shin: H-Huh?! Of course not!
Miyuki: Aww, so you have a cute side too!
C-Cute?! I was startled. My face turned red, it felt suddenly hot. Surprised, I glanced at her. She was trying to not face me. She walked faster and is now ahead of me. Is she by any chance... embarrassed too?! Arggghh what am I thinking?!
I walked constantly behind her. I have never had a chance to see her dress casually. I always see her in her maid outfit. It feels weird to have a maid from a maid café to be tagging along with ... a customer. She gazed at billboards and posters on the buildings. There were faces of happiness, excitement, sadness and laughter as she look at them. Her smile's so pretty. I think I have seen it somewhere... Hm, probably an animé... or not. Oh well, it's almost midnight, I'm probably just tired.
She looked at one of the posters with enthusiasm, Her eyes sparkled and reflected the colorful lights of Akiba. She was shining.
Shin: Have you seen that live-action film? Ao Natsu Ride?
Miyuki turned around. Her hair flew around her neck and shoulders. I wonder what would she look like if her hair is shorter?
Miyuki: *male voice* Hmm, *cough* iie zen zen (nope, not at all). But I have read the manga and watched the anime. Did you like it too? I liked it!
I see her voice is still cracky... but I think it's getting better along the way. I haven't fully heard of her male voice.
Shin: Ohhh... so you're more into shoujo, huh? I personally liked it. It was a nice show. I liked Fukaba, she's such a strong-willed girl. But I haven't read the manga yet. Is it nice?
Miyuki: Ehehehe ~ I'm a shoujo person, I guess? I just try to hide it as much as I could. Eh? You haven't read the manga yet? That's too bad! It was such a nice manga! The story is flowing very smoothly!
Look at her getting all enthusiastic all of a sudden... cute.
Shin: Hm. So you're a closet otaku, huh?
