Not a Teenybopper Sleepover

"Where are Sean and Mr. Blackbourne? Are they working? Searching for clues? Should you be working too? Will Mr. Blackbourne be mad at me for..."

I feel a chop on my head and turn away from Nathan to see Gabriel standing behind me with his hands on his hips. "Don't get your panties in a bunch. Doc is tied up with that other group for tonight at least. Mr. Blackbourne gave us the weekend off to get you squared away. He's doing a little digging around but is supposed to take some time off too. He isn't going to be fucking mad. Now quit worrying that pretty little head of yours and come here."

I turn and give Nathan a pretend scared face earning me another chop on the head. Nathan shakes his head with a chuckle as I stand to follow Gabriel. He leads me to an area near the corner of the room where he's set up a makeshift nail salon. At least that's what it looks like to me. He's got boards layed across stacks of books in an L shape. On one side the boards are piled with different nail polishes and grooming kits. He gestures for me to set across from him on the other side. I sit placing my hands on the board as instructed and wait for him to pick a color. He holds up a purple close to the same shade as the diamonds on my....MY... glass doors. I nod my head excitedly. "Are there more purples?"

"I think there's about 5 different purples Beautiful." he laughs pulling out the different ones. "Actually there are 7." he corrects himself.

"Could we different ones? I like all kinds of purples."

His eyes light up. "I've got an awesome idea. Can I surprise you?" I nod loving surprises. "Cool. Check out the room. They're finished."

I do as he suggest and look all around me. I'm shocked at how different the still white room looks and in such a short amount of time. When Gabriel mentioned a fort I pictured something similar to the ones I've made with a sheet draped over the couch. This is so much more than that. The walls are lined with sheets taped to the ceiling making it more like a tent than anything. Kota has piled colorful sleeping bags and pillows in one corner for later use. Luke and North wheeled a large two shelved cart into the room piled full of food. I was surprised to see pizza boxes piled high on the top but Luke explained they weren't bought pizzas. He made pizzas himself then put them into boxes he 'borrowed' from a pizza place in town. The second shelf had a giant bowl of popcorn and a box full of baked goodies in several containers. The rest of the shelf was covered in a giant vegetable tray with a low fat dip in the center. I was guessing the vegetables and dip was Norths contribution based on Gabriel's comment earlier. Nathan recruited Silas and together they carried in a big screen TV setting it near the DVD player on the floor. It took Nathan a third trip to carry a stack of movies into the room. I thought this was funny considering there's no way we could watch them all in a week of sleepovers. No way would we manage more than a couple tonight. Of course none of this took up as much room as Gabriel's loot. The massive amount of polish is only a small portion of the things he's brought. The rest includes clothes, make up, board games, and boxes that have who knows what in them. I could tell we were in for a late night even before Gabriel makes his next suggestion. "Hey North, you still got that liquor stash?"

North looks like he isn't sure rather or not to answer but does anyway. "Yeah."

"Good. Go get it and some glasses." I cant help but laugh at the look North gives Gabriel. I don't know if its for Gabriel giving him an order or for suggesting the alcohol. North doesn't look like the type to think to highly of authority. Maybe that's why without looking up from painting my nails Gabriel adds "Please."

North stands but looks at me and ask "You want to drink?"

I catch myself biting into my lip again as I debate this. "Will you get into trouble?"
