A/N: It has taken me forever to get this even remotely close to how I envisioned it. I'm still not sure I'm completely satisfied but thats kind of how this whole story has gone so I'm posting. Before you read it I do feel like I should warn you there is some boy on boy kissing here. Please no derogatory comments about that. All other comments are welcome and I also love votes! Hope you enjoy. I'll post another update shortly since this one took so long to post.

"Luke you're filthy." I gasp as he steps into Kotas room. His bare feet are covered in mud and I'm fairly certain if I look at the floor in the hall he'll have left a trail. More mud coats his clothes and skin. Even his blonde locks are brown with mud clumps. "What happened? Are you okay?"

"It wasn't raining when I climbed up to the roof." he grumbles. When I look at him for an explanation he continues. "It started raining and FYI gutters are slick when they're wet. I slipped a couple feet off the ground and landed in a giant mud puddle. Remind me to have North or Silas take a look at that spot. Water shouldn't stand that close to the house."

My hands go to my hips "Maybe you shouldn't be climbing gutters to the roof."

"You sound like North. I just go there when I need to think. Its the only place the others aren't likely to go around here."

That sinking feeling from earlier is back. "Oh. Can I ask what you needed to think about?"

"Yeah but I need to clean up...come with me." he reaches for my hand and I let him lead me the short distance to the bathroom. Its not until we're both closed inside and he uses his pointer finger in a spin motion that I understand he is about to take a shower with me in the room. "Don't look so scared. Just turn around you won't see anything once I'm behind that half wall."

I spin around quickly and hug my arms around myself hoping it will keep me calm. "You'll talk while you're in the shower?" As scared as I am about what he might say, my most dominate fear is the fear of the shower. Even the sound of the water spraying is usually enough to have me running for the hills. He makes me strong enough to suppress the urge though thankfully. When he turns on the water I repeat my question to get him talking.

"I was thinking about unique relationships I guess."

"Did you come up with anything interesting?"

I hear him laugh bitterly then he hisses "shit thats hot"

"Momma its hot! Please untie me! Please!" The memory hits me like a slap to the face. "I can't be here." I breath through my panicked breaths. I begin yanking at the door knob and pounding on the door when that doesn't work.

"Shit Elsie stop it. They're going to think I'm hurting you." Luke says bear hugging me from behind. "Whats wrong?"

"The shower. I can't...and the door...it won't...."

"Shh...hey its okay. Its okay. You just don't think to turn the knob when your panicking apparently. Turn around and look at me." Slowly still unable to catch my breath I turn to see his tear filled eyes. His hair isn't wet yet but I can feel the water droplets dripping from his skin to mine. "What can I do?"

"I don't like the shower. My mother hurt me in one a while ago and...I just don't like them now. I'm scared of them."

"Oh," he says thoughtfully. "You're okay like this though right?" I hesitate because the shower is still going but it's not to bad. I nod realizing just looking into his eyes has at least calmed my breathing a little. "Good. Okay. I think you need to get in."

"What! No way!"

"Do you trust me Elsie?" I nod. "Do you want to be scared of a shower forever?" I shake my head. "Then I think you just need to have a shower experience that isn't all scary and twisted." His thumbs wipe at my tears until my cheeks are free of them. "Can you do that with me?"
