*Joey's Pov*

As Shane and I sat in the car in silence, I could feel the tears slowly run down my cheek.

Why did me and Daniel have to break up in the first place? All I wanna do is to be finally happy...

Shane pulled into my drive way and parked the car. Shane took a big breath like he was stressed out. "So, what a night.... huh?" He asked breaking the ice. "Haha ya I guess...." I said awkwardly. The car was silent. Shane and I took little glances at each other and turned away for the next five minutes. I couldn't bare the silence. I felt like this was all my fault. "Shane.... I..." I said before I was interrupted. "Do you still love Daniel?" Shane asked looking straight into my eyes. I could see the tears already forming in his eyes. I was speechless. I wanted to tell him the truth, but I still wanted to be with him. "I..... I..... I don't....." I said with little cracks in my voice. "Joey, it's a yes or no question. If you do, I totally understand." Shane said as calmly as possible. "I.... I..... don't know Shane...." I said softly, not giving any eye contact. "Joey, you know I love you with all my heart, and I want you to be happy. But I don't want to be led on. You know what I mean Joey?" Shane said with a few sniffles here and there. "I understand Shane. And it's not my intention to lead you on. You're such an amazing guy and I would do anything for you." I said, taking his hand and putting it by my mouth. Shane moved in and gave me a passionate kiss. It felt so right. I felt a little spark. But not like when I kiss Daniel... I knew what I had to do.

*Daniels Pov*

I was speechless. I just admitted that I love Joey without even knowing it.
Connor got up and pushed in his chair furiously. "Take me home. Right. Now." Connor said, holding in his tears. I put the check on the table, got up, and walked with Connor to the car.

~•~•~ON THE DRIVE HOME~•~•~

"I can't believe you Daniel." Connor said, looking out of the passenger window. "Connor, please listen to me..." I said trying to explain myself. "No Daniel, I don't even want to hear your voice at this point. Just take me home." He said, looking down and his voice cracking. "Okay." I said softly to myself.

I pulled into Connor's driveway and parked the car. When Connor was about to jump out of the car, I grabbed his arm. He looked at me slowly, tears streaming down his cheeks. "Connor listen, I love you. I really do. In the restaurant, I didn't hear what you asked. I tried telling you, but..." I said, looking straight into his sparkling eyes. Connor looked down and laughed at himself. He got back in the car and shut the door. "I feel so stupid. I'm such a bad boyfriend." Connor said with his face into his hands. I slowly put my hand onto his back and rubbed it slowly. All I could repeat was "It's okay." Connor looked back up at me and starred straight into my eyes. "I know you still love Joey. It's okay." Connor said looking down, rubbing his red, swollen eyes. "Connor..... I..... I..... I'm sorry." I said sniffling. "Don't ever think I wanted to lead you on."
Connor looked at me with a little smirk, then slowly looked back down. There was a few seconds of silence. "I know you would never do that Daniel. You're not that kinda guy. I love you, but I want you to be as happy as you can be." Connor said looking straight into my eyes. I pulled into Connor and passionately kissed him. I knew this was gonna be the last kiss we have. I pulled away, holding Connor's face onto my hand. He looked down and turned away, wiping his eyes. "So.... Now what?" He asked sniffling. "I have no clue." I said, telling the truth. "I guess this is it.... With us..." Connor said looking into my eyes for a few seconds, then looking back down. I felt horrible.  All I wanted to do was go in and hug him. "Connor, we'll always stay close. I promise." I said with joy. Connor looked up at me with a smile of hope. He pulled in for a big hug and I hugged back. "Thank you Daniel. Thank you." He said with joy. He pulled away and got out of the car. As he walked to his front door, he winked and waved goodbye. I wave back as Connor walked into his house and shut the door.

I starred up at the top of my car and took a deep breath of relief. It felt like all the weight was lifted off my shoulders. I looked down slowly at my phone on my lap.

I know what I have to do.
