*Dan's Pov*
As the door shut closed, all I could do was cry hysterically. Don't get me wrong, I was the happiest man that I was with Joey again, but something inside me made me feel so depressed. Was it what happened in the car accident? About the fight? Or.... Maybe about my past... That's it...
As I was trying to calm myself down, I could hear screaming and kicking right outside my room. I tried to get up and see what it was, but I couldn't cause of the wires hooked up to me. I plopped back on my bed in frustration. I took a deep breath of stress. And slowly, I dozed off to sleep.
~•~•~A FEW HOURS LATER~•~•~
I woke up to Joey sitting on the edge of my bed. "Oh... Hey babe." I said as I was stretching. Joey didn't say anything. All he did was stare down at the ground in silence. I could see on the side of his face that we was crying. His whole face was red, his eyes were puffy. You could still see some tears fall slowly down his cheeks. I sat up and took his hand. He was still looking down. "Joey, what's going on?" I asked with panic. He slowly turned his head towards me with no eye contact.
"You don't want to know..."
*Joey's Pov*
"I don't think you can..." Susan said with her eyes full of sadness. I sat down next to her and held her hand. "We can get through this. I need to know what's going on." I said in a quiet tone. She made eye contact with me and said "Okay, here it goes...." She took a deep breath. My heart was pounding. I didn't know what to expect.
"Joey......." Susan says as tears already form in her eyes. I looked straight into her eyes, trying not to cry. "Daniel... He... He...
He only has 6 months to live."
