I'M SORRY! I just haven't had time to write a new chapter! I promise I'll try to update more regularly, sorry!

<End of Author's Note>

The dull whiteness of the ward Charini was placed in began to daze Albus with its lack of anything exciting. Wave after wave of boredom mixed with anticipation and fear for his friend washed over him, turning him into a babbling mess.

"Al, calm down she'll be alright." Harry finally said to his son at last after hearing a hour's worth of the jumble of anxious words.

The healers of St. Mungo's were denying them access until they could get her condition under control. He comfortingly squeezed Albus's arm as Albus began to pace back and forth.

"She could be dying! I can't just wait here..." His words faded off into indecipherable murmurs.

Albus began to pull at his hair, a habit he had yet to break, something he does when he's stressed, anxious, or nervous. He closed his eyes and squeezed them tightly together. A flustered Ginny came swiftly walking towards them.

"Come on, come on." She ushered them. Albus began to bombard her with questions, as she was the only one allowed in the actual ward where Charini was. "Albus! Calm down, won't you?"

He hung his head in defeat and quickened his pace. "I'll have to send Rosie a letter telling her about Charini. Oh, she'll be so worried!"

"I've already sent one to your Uncle and Aunt, I'm betting you'll receive a howler from her soon." She gave him a quick and forced smile, hoping to make him feel better.

They pushed through a set of pale white doors, like everything else in the ward. Charini was laying on the third bed from the door. Her normal Carmel skin tone was replaced with a paler, more ashen color. Albus immediately sprinted over to her and began his protective hovering to make sure she was going to be fine.

"Al. Al, Allie! Listen here, buck-o!" Charini snapped. "I'm fine, I'll live."

"I know, I know! But you just showed up in my house at night a bloody mess! How am I not supposed to freak out!" He said frantically in defense.

"Fair enough, Allie." She said graciously. "C'mon you need some sleep."

Charini patted the spot next to her on the bed and shuffled over a bit. Albus began to protest but stopped with one look from Charini and climbed in.

"Good boy," She joked. "I'll make a deal, if you'll get some sleep I'll get some recovery."

Albus simply nodded in return and yawned, the early morning wake up had already begun to take its tolls. Barely two hours had inched pass when the barren white doors burst open again, making their party of four into five.

A tall scrawny girl had entered the room with much more drama than needed. The adults, Harry and Ginny, could be visibly seen rolling their eyes and trying to stifle laughs. Her gawky demeanor made it hard to not laugh.

Charini coughed before exclaiming,"Adeline? What are you here for?"

"I heard my poor baby was hurt!" Adeline explained before rushing to the bedside of where Albus and Charini both lay.

"Shouldn't you be busy preparing for Hogwarts? You told me you already got your letter!" She scolded. "You've got O.W.Ls this year, I don't want you to fail them!"

"I'll be fine, I've got to look after my Char Char, after all." Adeline said beginning to smother the younger girl.

She knew many things about Charini that even Albus doesn't know and decided to be her make-shift mom. It didn't matter than she herself was only starting her fifth year of hogwarts.

"Addie," Charini said using the nickname most called Adeline by. "Did you add another color to your hair? I thought you said you were going to leave it alone for now."

Adeline and Teddy both were metamorphmaguses, though Teddy could change facial features and hair Adeline could only change her hair.

"I thought it could use a bit of blue on the tips, I think it suits me, personally." Adeline scoffed.

"I'm starving, Adeline, could you go get us some food?" Albus questioned, for he too knew Addie quiet well. It just makes since to know the mother-like figure of your best friend.

She agreed and left but not before knocking over a potted plant on the bedside table. Harry quickly caught it, using his relfexes from when he used to play quiditch. Addie called out a quick apology before scurrying out. She hadn't even been gone long when a red envelope came swooping into the room on the claw of an owl.

Albus quickly hopped out of bed and untied the letter from the owl, he already knew who it was from. He timidly began to open it up, preparing himself for the screaming that would belong to Rose Weasley. It quickly flipped out of his hands and began to shout at him.

"HOW DARE YOU NOT TELL ME SOONER, YOU GRADE-A ARSE! CHARINI GETS HURT AND YOU DON'T EVEN CONSIDER SENDING YOUR DEAR COUSIN AND HER BEST FRIEND A LETTER!" The voice of Rose Weasley boomed through the otherwise quiet ward. "I'M GOING TO GET MUM TO TAKE ME THERE IMMEDIATELY, THEN I'LL SMACK YOU INTO YOUR O.W.LS! Oh, and Charini, I'll be sure to give you a big hug if I can!"

The envelope shut and fluttered to the floor. Albus nudged it with his foot, almost expecting it to go off again. He let out a sigh of relief when it didn't, Rose had tried to pull that on him one too many times.

"I can't wait to see this!" Charini exclaimed before wincing with pain, although the healers could work literal magic there was a darker sort of magic infested in her wound. Which always made curing things that much harder for the healers.
