Opening his eyes, he wiggled around trying to survey the room in which he lay. It was dark and dank but something about the place seemed familiar to the boy. A hissing sound could soon be heard, and it was getting louder. He writhed more on the ground, almost against him will. Finally he looked down at his own body, accepting defeat, when he realized that the body he saw didn't look like his. The door busted open, and the man who seemingly made it do so looked all too familiar.A rush of panick came over him, but it didn't feel like his own. The figure now loomed over him, he began to uncontrollably beg and plead in a voice that was not his own. His mouth clamped shut after a minute and he made another realization. The hissing was coming from the man. Then the man, the man who was all too familiar, began to slam his fists against the boy's body, again and again. Just when he thought he couldn't take it anymore the man transformed before his eyes, gruesomely, into a horrible snake. It struck him one last time, it's long, awful fangs sinking into his side. A feminine scream emitted from his mouth, one unlike his own, one full of pain and agony.
Albus awoke with a jolt. Images of the horrendous snake flashed anew threw his mind. With sweat dripping down his face, he sat up in his bed.
"What the hell was that dream?" He quietly groaned aloud. Everything in that dream seemed too familiar, too real. A loud clanging from downstairs startled him, stopping any forming thoughts from occurring.
"Ted? Teddy, wake up!" Albus whispered loudly. "There's someone downstairs!"
The sleepy blue-haired boy slowly awoke from the bed beside Albus's.
"What do you want?" Teddy groaned, struggling to stay awake. "It's too early for this, Albus. Go back to bed."
"I heard a sort of crash downstairs, I think there's someone in the house." Teddy simply rolled his eyes and turned away from Albus, onto his side. Albus knew there was no point in trying again, Teddy was the closest thing to a professional sleeper.
Albus muttered to himself as he gathered his courage, "Okay, looks like I've got to go on my own."
He quietly stood up and walked out of the room. As he walked through the hallway, towards the stairs, he thought to himself that the hallway had never been creepier. Albus nearly hit his head on the ceiling when a floor board creaked, and swore when a picture of James decided to scare him.
"If something down there doesn't kill me, I'll be sure to keel over from fright!" Albus humored himself. Another crashing sound came from downstairs. "How has nobody else in this house have heard these noises?"
He creeped down the stairs, getting a small fright every time they creaked and groaned. Taking out a dungbomb he got from George Weasley, he advanced into the living room. Lying in the middle of the room was a girl, the room was too dark to tell who she was. A small moan of pain escaped her lips. As he creeped forward towards her he realized that she was his best friend, Charini.
"Charini, what're you doing here? How are you here?" Albus questioned confusedly, he crouched next to her. The room was pitch black, to the point that he could barely see her glittering brown eyes.
He placed a hand on her side before quickly yanking it away. Albus looked at the substance on his hand, it was blood. He swore loudly and looked back at Charini.
"You're bleeding." He said stating the obvious.
"Yes, Albus, I am." She hissed through clenched in pain. A beam of moonlight filtered into the room, making Albus able to see Charini.
Her black hair was covered in blotches of her own crimson blood, which was rapidly coming out of wound in her side. Blood was in a pool around her body, along with a broken vase that she stumbled into a few minutes earlier. The wound in her side was a sickly shade of green, and slightly smoking. Albus felt tears welling up in his eyes.
"Okay, okay. That's a lot of blood." Albus said trying to calm his own nerves. "I'm going to try and move you, okay?"
"Just get your parents." She said, clutching his hands.
"I can't leave you here like this." Albus told her. He began to yell and scream for his parents, for anyone, to come and help.
They came running into the room, both of them with wands out, ready for attacking. The pair lowered their wands at the sight of the two of them lying on the floor, surrounded in blood.
"Albus, what happened?" Harry said, walking over to his son.
"I don't know, I heard some crashes coming from here and I found Charini."
He said, on the verge of tears. His father wrapped his arms around Albus, as the young boy buried his face in his father's chest."Charini, we're going to take you to St. Mungo's but we've got to first stop the bleeding. It might sting, okay?" Ginny said, calmly. Charini nodded, wincing at the movement. She moved her wand over her wounds muttering, "Vulnera Sanetur."
The bleeding began to slow, as Charini let out a cry of pain. Her eyes glistened with unshed tears.
"Tergeo." Harry pointed his wand at the blood on the floor, it all siphoned into his wand. "We should do side-along apparition, it'll be the safest thing for her in her current condition."
Ginny simply nodded and got Albus to help her stand Charini up. Charini slung her arm around Ginny's neck and slouched against her.
"Al, please go tell Teddy to watch over James and Lily. You'll do a side-along apparition with your father." Ginny ordered him and left with a pop. Albus hurried back up the stairs and through the hallway, into his room.
"Teddy, GET THE HELL UP." He yelled. The older boy moaned but opened his eyes.
"What do you want this time?" Teddy said agitated.
"Charini is hurt badly, mum to me to tell you that you need to watch over James and Lily. Bye!" Albus said and ran back out of the room.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN? CHARINI'S HERE AND HURT?" Teddy yelled after Albus. He made it back downstairs in record time.
His father was waiting for him and quickly grabbed his arm and turned. Everything suddenly went black, Albus felt like he was being crushed on all sides and he could not breathe. Almost as soon as it began, it had ended and Albus stumbled onto the pavement outside the building used for St. Mungo's. He began to heavily breathe until he felt like he could breathe normally again.
