Summary: Joe has a sleeping problem, and sleeping with someone else is the only solution. So, he sleeps with his boyfriend, Caspar. He hasn't told anyone of this out of embarrassment. Caspar leaves for Los Angeles to film a movie and Joe is stuck by himself. Uh oh.

Author's Note: This ain't angst no more. Uh oh. What shall it be? Fluff, crack? We shall see *evil chuckle*

Joe plasters a fake smile on his face as he watches Caspar dash around the room, grabbing clothes and travelling gear and stuffing them in his bag.

Caspar wears a silly grin on his face, clearly excited about his trip to Los Angeles. He's been talking about it a lot, a looottt, the past few days. Though Joe should feel excited for him too, he can't help but be- well, not.

Caspar has been reluctant to leave him behind, but he couldn't really bring him along either, as much as he would love to. But he needs Caspar. Not want, need. It's the reason Joe even got a flat mate. He couldn't be alone. Well, he could. But he couldn't feel alone. It's a problem he's had longer than he can remember. He's slept with Zoe since he was a child, but moved out in hopes of growing out of his phobia. But nooope!

And he remembers the beginning of his stay in their flat, the long sleepless nights, the shivering, waking up cold in the night drenched in sweat, screaming, until one night Caspar (who he barely knew at the time) crept into Joe's room and embraced Joe to sleep. Soon, they grew close, and Caspar moved into Joe's room by an unspoken agreement, until they finally moved from friendship to romance. In the long run, he's glad that it helped him and Caspar grow close, but for now, not really.

Saying that he doesn't have money to pay by himself is only an excuse, because he could have just gotten a smaller flat with only one floor, but no. He couldn't be alone, but he couldn't ruin Caspar's dream. Hell, he's dreamed about it longer than he knows Joe, probably.

The plane booking is already full, and even though they could just get another ticket for a different plane, Joe has a fear of flying alone. So, there aren't any other possible options, to ask someone else to fly with him would be to over impose, and if there were an actual doable option, it would be nothing short of a miracle.

Joe could never dream of ruining Caspar's dream of flying to L.A. and making a movie, he's done so much for him already, so he knows he has to do this. For Caspar.

It's 12:13 AM and Caspar's doing some last minute packing, before his flight in about seven hours. He's making a mess of their room, but Joe doesn't seem to care, to caught up trying to shake off the dread creeping into his body. How would he endure sleeping alone for one month?

He briefly catches a shimmer of glass and the edge of a golden frame before Caspar zips up his bag, and he realizes that Caspar's packed their first year anniversary photo. He smiles genuinely, his anxiety still gnawing at his mind.

Caspar shouts triumphantly, zipping his luggage up, and hurtles to Joe, picking him up and spinning him around.

"Done," he says, all smiley.

Joe basks in his warmth as Caspar embraces him, and takes in the sweet smell of his clothes. He'll have to hold onto it as a memory for this one month. Though Caspar has promised to keep in contact with him as constant as possible, it's still not the same as physically having Caspar by his side.

He grins wryly, and pats Caspar on the back. He'll miss the feeling of that skin.

"Let's go sleep for a bit, you'll need some rest before you fly tomorrow."

Joe breaks out of Caspar's embrace, hearing Caspar's faint whine behind him, and turns of the lights.

He walks to the bed, and Caspar's already there, opening his arms wide for Joe to come and snuggle into.
